羅馬洛克福德大酒店位于羅馬人民廣場和西班牙廣場之間，卻能隔絕喧囂，呈現(xiàn)綠洲般的綠色和寧靜。酒店擁有一座面積達2800平方米的階梯花園，種滿了棕櫚樹、紫杉、橘林和潔白攀緣薔薇，對于市中心的酒店而言尤為難得。

酒店歷史悠久，由曾擴建羅馬人民廣場的著名建筑師基賽匹·維拉迪爾（giuseppe valadier）于十九世紀初完成設(shè)計。1917年2月，藝術(shù)家畢加索和法國詩人讓·谷克多在這里入住三個月之久，準備史上第一場立體主義芭蕾。兩位友人的房間相鄰，曾一起透過窗戶摘花園里的橘子。酒店如今的畢加索套房即是對此的紀念。

自2000年由洛克福德酒店集團（Rocco Forte Hotels）執(zhí)掌以來，羅馬洛克福德大酒店已經(jīng)成為當?shù)刈铐敿鈨壕频曛?。?jīng)過世界知名建筑師托馬索·齊費爾的重裝設(shè)計，酒店令人驚奇地將過去和現(xiàn)在融為一體，設(shè)計時尚且對前身的經(jīng)典建筑風(fēng)格保有尊重。羅馬洛克福德大酒店已經(jīng)成為羅馬城的有機部分。

The Hotel de Russie， located between two of Rome's most beautiful and famous Piazzas， Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna， offers a haven of tranquility and greenery. The Secret Garden of the hotel has 2，800 square metres of terraced gardens， full of palm trees， yews， orange trees and white climbing roses， a rare value for a hotel in the heart of the city.

The hotel was designed in the early 19th century by the great architect Giuseppe Valadier， who redeveloped the neighboring Piazza del Popolo. Artist Pablo Picasso and poet Jean Cocteau stayed for three months at the hotel in February 1917 when preparing to stage the first ever Cubist ballet. The friends occupied adjoining rooms and leaned out of the windows to pick oranges from the garden. This historical event gave birth to the artistic Picasso Suite of Hotel de Russie.

The Hotel de Russie is part of Rocco Forte Hotels since 2000 and has become one of the best hotels in town. Designed by architect Tommaso Ziffer， the 122-bedroom hotel is a fascinating mix of old and new， with modern design that respects the classical architecture of the building.
