小涼亭上木匾刻著:Amanfayun(法云安縵)。
It was getting late and we drove uphill in the depths of the bamboo forest. The soft breeze was stirring the bamboo leaves and my elder sister had fallen asleep already with her head tilted back to the seat. However, I didn't have sleepiness in the slightest although I was pretty tired. It gave me a feeling that I would request some advice during my first meeting with the hotel. When I was awoken from my reverie and looked up, I found I had just arrived.
A small pavilion with a wooden plaque carved 'Amanfayun' was appearing before our eyes. The same as all modern people 'kidnapped' by social software, we started to take photos and videos as soon as we saw it. It was getting dark and lights above the plaque were suddenly lighting up, just like those lights had read our mind. Immediately, a phone call from Miss Yuko was ringing, and she introduced herself as Fayun PR Manager in standard mandarin. After a little while, she was walking towards us from the stony path. She was in plain and neat dress with kindly smile, came looked like a ripple from the clean water. From conservations with her, we knew that she is Japanese and has worked in Fayun for 7 years. Her appearance and style have become a kind of Aman style culture symbol, that is to say, a comfortable amicability and low key.
It was getting darker with heavy dew, Yuko softly reminded us about the steps, and she guided us with a lantern, by which, we could faintly see the moss and the stone path. With fairy mist curled up, we felt cooling here in the mountain. No. 30 courtyard named 'Yan Du (English meaning: Pleasant Resting House)' was waiting us tranquilly. It means that to lie on one's back windward and lie on one's stomach leeward. Handwritten greeting cards have been prepared for us. We made a pot of tea with the Longjing tea leaves planted and produced in Fayun, and opened the windows to hear the purling mountain spring, croak and song of cicadas. This unique implicit atmosphere created by Aman made us unconsciously quieted down and meditated.
