The climate of any place is the kind of weather. It usually has a long period of time.

The houses we live in, the clothes we wear, even the foods we eat depend on the climate of the place where we live.

Climate is complicated; it is affected by many factors (因素). The distance to the North or South Pole or to the equator really matters a lot. If you live near either of the poles, you live in a cold climate, for the place where you live does not get as much or as direct sunshine as a place farther away from the poles. In places close to the equator, the climate is very hot, for they are the parts where the sun shines almost straight down.

The amount of rain or snowfall makes a great difference to the climate. In hot, dry deserts, little rain falls, but in a hot rainforest, the amount of rainfall is far larger than that in the desert, for there is a heavy rain almost every day, even several times per day. Though a rainforest and a desert may be the same distance from the equator, their climates are rather different from each other.

Some expects believe that the amount of rain or snowfall is determined by the winds, the surrounding mountains and the currents in nearby seas, and so on. In short, it is a very complex natural phenomenon.

Doctors say anger is an extremely damaging emotion left without attention. They warn that anger can lead to heart disease, stomach problems, headaches, emotional problems, and even cancer.

31 Some people express anger openly in a calm reasonable way. Others burst with anger, screaming, and yelling. But other people keep it inside. They will not or cannot express it. This is called repressing anger.

For years many doctors thought that repressing (抑制) anger was more dangerous to a persons health than expressing it. When a person is angry, the brain releases the same hormones (荷爾蒙). They speed the heart rate, raise blood pressure, or force sugar into the blood, etc. 32

Some doctors say that both repressing and expressing anger can be dangerous. Those who express anger violently may be more likely to develop heart disease, and those who keep it inside may face a greater danger of high blood pressure.

33 They say the first step is to admit that you are angry and to recognize the real cause of the anger, then decide if the cause is worth getting angry. If so, they say, “ 34 Wait until your anger has cooled down and you are able to express yourself calmly and reasonably.”

Doctors believe a good way to deal with anger is to find humor in the situation that has made you angry. 35

        A. Anger is a normal emotion that we all feel from time to time.

        B. Doctors say the solution is learning how to deal with anger.

        C. Expressing anger violently is more harmful than repressing it.

        D. Anger may cause you a cancer.

        E. Do not express your anger while angry.

        F. In general, the person feels excited and ready to act.

        G. They believe that laughter is much healthier than anger.
