【ABSTRACT】：Objective To study the application of modern home design and intelligent household system，make intelligent household system better using in modern home design. Methods It introduced the basic function and operational principle of household intelligent system，as well as the relationship between modern household design，studied the effects of intelligent household system on modern home design and its specific application. Conclusion Intelligent household design system has the important status in the household design，and gradually lead the development direction of modern furniture design.

A people spends lot of time indoors during his whole life， therefore， creating a comfortable home environment will do benefit to people's physical and mental health. With the increasing of social wealth， people require higher standard of dwelling level. So they turn their eyes to a design method that is high-tech and energy saving. And the smart home system emerges as the time requires. And the development of science and technology also leaves a trace on the development of modern architecture. With the rapid development of economy and science and technology， people's living environment is changing in our country now.

1 overview of modern home design

With the continuous development of the social material wealth and the improvement of the quality of life， peoples requirements for household design also changed quietly. People prefer a home design that can satisfy them not only with its structure， location and surroundings， but also its artistry and hommization.

According to their different application， household appliances can be divided into three categories. That is， the most basic appliances， comfortable home and smart home. The first category is to meet peoples basic requirements life， the second category can provide people a relatively comfortable environment to rest， and the third category can not only provide people a comfortable home environment but also meet peoples pursuit of high-tech， achieving the harmonious development of people and the environment.

There are several main trends of the development of modern Home Furnishing design ： First， modern design is developing toward a simple ， applicable and self-show way， which can reflect a person's living standards and the pursuit for life; second， the modern home design asserts integrative design and embodies a way that emphasis the Home Furnishing design theme in the design process to reflect the masters interests. It is exactly because people spend most of the time at home that we put higher requirements for intelligent design of modern home.

2 general situation of intelligent household system and its relationship with modern home design

The emergence of intelligent household system provides people a new method to understand the modern household design， and it is also in line with the trend of scientific and technological development. The composition of the intelligent household system consists of many parts. It is the interaction of these parts that makes it possible for people to enjoy the intelligent and convenient service and see the contents of the smart household security system. At the same time， we can also see the specific application range and application direction of smart home system in the modern home design. Different components of the smart home design have different functions to meet peoples needs in different aspects. This system can not only transfer the image in the mobile phone to home by remote network， but also achieve real-time monitoring of the home environment on the phone by calling the police through the intelligent system.

3 the application of intelligent household system in the modern home design

Intelligent interior design is no longer a simple intelligent control to achieve lighting and security. It becomes a kind of work of art. The introduction of intelligent household system has gradually changed people's basic concepts of household design， and it also affects the design of modern home. In designing modern home， we must insist on the adoption of integrated system and advanced technology， so that the intelligent household system will have a wider application prospect in the modern home design. At the same time， in the modern interior design we should take environmental protection elements into consideration. In this way， the house design will suit the requirements of sustainable development in modern society better， and will be more beneficial to the protection of environment.
