展銷會英文推介的常見問題及對策分析

[摘要]展銷會是企業(yè)和公司展示其產(chǎn)品與服務(wù)的平臺,是開發(fā)新客戶、吸引潛在客戶的好機會,外貿(mào)業(yè)務(wù)員能通過展銷會開拓業(yè)務(wù)、拓展客源。做好英文推介,避免英文推介中出現(xiàn)的常見問題,恰當(dāng)使用寒暄語,企業(yè)和產(chǎn)品介紹盡量短小精悍,一語中的,主動了解顧客需求,靈活提供解決方案,可以大大提升合作的機會。

(一)問題:寒暄語使用不恰當(dāng)
寒暄語多在迎送客戶和接待客戶等幾個環(huán)節(jié)中使用,經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的不恰當(dāng)用語包括:“Hello,guys.”,“Sit down please.”,“Drink water .”,“Can you tell me…?”等。
(二)對策分析:注意細(xì)節(jié),恰當(dāng)使用
以上用語的字面含義分別是:你好,請坐,喝水,你能告訴我?雖然能表達出簡單的含義,但是“Hello,guys.”是非正式的打招呼方式,常用于較熟悉的朋友之間,不適用于在展會上初次見面的客戶。恰當(dāng)?shù)挠涌蛻舻挠谜Z為:“Good morning/ good afternoon,sir,please have a look.”,“Nice to meet you. May I help you?”“Hello,please look around.”“Welcome!”等?!癝it down please.”多用在上級和下級之間,比如老師和學(xué)生之間,含有輕微的命令口吻,恰當(dāng)?shù)恼Z氣應(yīng)該是“Have a seat,please.”“Drink water please”也含有輕微的命令口氣,而且是典型的中式英語,恰當(dāng)?shù)挠谜Z應(yīng)為“Enjoy yourself,please”“Help yourself,please”。另外,有些業(yè)務(wù)員在向客戶咨詢產(chǎn)品具體要求或參數(shù)的時候,總是使用“Can you tell me…?”,Can you在英語中強調(diào)的是一種能力,直接使用會導(dǎo)致語氣生硬不得體,恰當(dāng)?shù)挠谜Z應(yīng)為“Could you please tell me?”“Would you like to tell me more details about…?”“Would you like to attend our product show…?”在送走客戶時,經(jīng)常用到的是“I'm looking forward to your visit again.”“Thank you for your inquiry/coming.”“I'll check and give you reply as soon as possible.”
(一)問題:無特色、無重點、繁冗拖沓
目前,由于外貿(mào)企業(yè)缺乏對員工的英語系統(tǒng)培訓(xùn),導(dǎo)致業(yè)務(wù)員在展會上不能靈活使用英文產(chǎn)品介紹,抓不住企業(yè)的特征和產(chǎn)品的特色,缺乏吸引力。以某制造企業(yè)為例:當(dāng)客戶表示對該企業(yè)不熟悉時,業(yè)務(wù)員說到:Our company was founded in 1999 in Qingdao,Shandong Province. Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city with an international port. Our company is located in the north of Qingdao. It takes 20minutes from the Qingdao airport to our company. Our development strategy is "technical enterprise,prudent management" based on the optimization of industrial structure,technological innovation and,sustainable and healthy development.這份介紹雖然詳細(xì),但沒有把握好重點,沒有突出企業(yè)的特色。同樣,在介紹產(chǎn)品時,有些業(yè)務(wù)員也總是從詳細(xì)介紹產(chǎn)品參數(shù)開始,沒有突出強調(diào)產(chǎn)品的特色以及與其他同類產(chǎn)品的區(qū)別等。
(二)對策分析:短小精悍,一語中的
在介紹企業(yè)或公司情況時,應(yīng)展現(xiàn)企業(yè)的特色,最終目的是激發(fā)海外客戶對企業(yè)產(chǎn)品的興趣,所以業(yè)務(wù)員應(yīng)第一時間突出企業(yè)的主打產(chǎn)品、成功訂單、大的合作伙伴即與大買家合作的成功案例、產(chǎn)品第三方驗證等,使客戶能快速明白企業(yè)的產(chǎn)品和定位,并初步建立起與該企業(yè)合作的信心。比如在上述案例中,業(yè)務(wù)員應(yīng)首先用一句話概括企業(yè)的主要產(chǎn)品,客戶分布或合作過的大買家等:
(1)We have supplied /manufactured…. for…years with high quality and competitive price.(2)We have rich experiences in cooperating with clients in European/American/ Asian market such as….(3)We specialize in …with customers in…and hope to cooperate with you. I believe we can help you find the right product.這些語句短小精悍,既能概括企業(yè)的基本信息又能迅速抓住客戶的注意力,如果客戶再繼續(xù)詢問企業(yè)的其他問題,業(yè)務(wù)員可以繼續(xù)講解,或直接詢問客戶的產(chǎn)品需求,將客戶的注意力引導(dǎo)到產(chǎn)品上來。
同樣在介紹產(chǎn)品時,如果業(yè)務(wù)員能使用簡潔的句型和詞匯快速突出產(chǎn)品的特征及有力競爭點,不但能給客戶留下專業(yè)和細(xì)心的印象,還能幫助客戶在眾多產(chǎn)品中鎖定適合自己的產(chǎn)品,這些都會增加與客戶成功合作的機會。比如在上述案例中:(1)This product features is its smart memory system. It has enjoyed great popularity in American market.(2)This product is characterized by its smart memory system which enables customers to review their records any time they want.
(三)常用的介紹句型
為了提高合作成功率,業(yè)務(wù)員應(yīng)在推介前熟練掌握短小精悍的句型和相關(guān)詞匯,突出企業(yè)和產(chǎn)品的特點,以客戶需求為導(dǎo)向,以產(chǎn)品特色為重點,留住客戶,盡顯專業(yè)。
常用句型總結(jié)如下:
1.We have supplied /manufactured…,for …years with…..
2.We specialize in…with customers in…and hope to cooperate with you.
3.Owing to…,our products have met with warm welcome and quick sale in most Asian / European markets / countries.
4.Our original design and advanced technology give us competitive edge over other produces /products.
5.This product features in….
6.…makes it special.
7.…is characterized by….
8.The advantage of this product is…
9.It has some special functions,such as ….
10.Our products have long enjoyed great fame for these years both at home and abroad.
11. It is well received in….
12.It is a hot seller in….
13. It satisfy the needs of….
14.It caters to the taste of customers in….等。
常用詞匯總結(jié)如下:
Easy to operate;convenient to carry;good in material;fashionable in design;superb in workmanship;user -friendly;economical;reliable;stylish;the superior quality and reasonable price;new / original design
(一)問題:缺乏靈活性,用語不恰當(dāng)
有些業(yè)務(wù)員在介紹完產(chǎn)品之后,傾向于立刻向客戶詢問有沒有合作意向,比如:Are you interested in our product?Would you like to cooperate with us?等,反而會使自己處于被動的局面,如果客戶直接說:Sorry.這等于關(guān)上了合作的大門。另外,有些客戶提出價格問題時,業(yè)務(wù)員往往急于辯解道:Our product is very cheap.這樣的用語是非常不恰當(dāng)?shù)?。Cheap在英文中的含義為價格低廉,即廉價貨,言外之意有質(zhì)量較差的意思。因此,業(yè)務(wù)員應(yīng)該慎重使用,在解釋價格合理時,應(yīng)利用reasonable / competitive price等詞語較合適,并給予適當(dāng)?shù)慕忉專热缡褂昧藘?yōu)質(zhì)的材料materials with high quality等。
(二)對策分析:主動了解顧客需求,靈活提供解決方案
在簡單有力地突出介紹產(chǎn)品特點之后,業(yè)務(wù)員應(yīng)該及時了解顧客的真正需求,比如:Could you please tell me what kind of product are you looking for?What kinds of products do you usually purchase?Could you please tell me what kind of consumers are you targeting at?等待并及時洞察客戶對感興趣產(chǎn)品的綜合態(tài)度,了解到客戶的需求或了解到客戶的顧慮后,能夠靈活地提出解決方案。這就需要業(yè)務(wù)員在展會開始之前做好功課,詳細(xì)了解國際市場行情、企業(yè)合作伙伴的貿(mào)易訂單和消費習(xí)慣,總結(jié)之前訂單的成功經(jīng)驗,形成幾套靈活的營銷策略和推介方案,做到心中有數(shù)。在展會期間,能主動傾聽客戶的需求,及時提出為客戶量身打造的方案,是業(yè)務(wù)員推介成功的關(guān)鍵一步,使客戶覺得業(yè)務(wù)員專業(yè)且有合作的誠意,增加雙方合作的幾率,比如尺寸調(diào)整、換電池、改包裝,按照客戶的要求定制等等。常用的提建議的英文句型包括:
1.What about…/ How about…?
2. Would you like to…?
3.If we change/ add…,….
4.I suggest/recommend that we….
展銷會期間,積極總結(jié)推介經(jīng)驗,鍛煉語言能力,提高交際能力,一定能有效拓展業(yè)務(wù),增加合作機會。

Common Problems and Solutions to English Promotion in Trade Fairs

[Abstract]Trade fairs offer a platform for companies to demonstrate their products or services and for salespersons to develop potential customers. Good English promotion plays an important role in enhancing cooperation at fairs. This paper aims to analyze the common problems in English promotion in terms of greetings,introductions of companies and products,and asking for cooperation intentions. At the end the author suggests some solutions to these problems.
