筆者通過研究近幾年的廣東高考完形填空題，發(fā)現(xiàn)連詞however，but和and 的重現(xiàn)率很高，且這三個(gè)詞在幫助推敲答案時(shí)，能起著“彰顯邏輯，協(xié)助推理”的點(diǎn)拔作用。現(xiàn)以2012年和2013年廣東高考完形填空題為例：

2012年廣東高考題：

第3題：Rules can help the public make the right ， and remain safe.

A. suggestions B. conclusions C. turns D. choices

解析：連詞and，表遞進(jìn)。選擇正確（make the right choices），就能保持安全 （remain safe），故選 D。

第6題：For example， they may believe that people should always tell the truth， and that lying is acceptable.

A. seldom B. rarely C. merely D. never

解析：and連詞，表并列?！癮lways tell the truth”總是說真話，也就是說，從不說謊，即說謊是“絕不可（never）”接受的，故選 D。

第10題： Some people choose not to eat meat because they believe that it is cruel to eat animals， but others argue that they can eat meat and be kind to animals.

A. still B. even C. later D. somehow

解析：連詞and，表并列。可吃動(dòng)物肉（can eat meat），并且“仍然（still）”對動(dòng)物好，故選A。

第11題：some insist that stealing is always wrong， but others think that one does not need to feel so when stealing some food to eat， if he lives in a really poor area and he is starving.

A. nervous B. anxious C. afraid D. guilty

解析：連詞but，表轉(zhuǎn)折?！巴蹈`是錯(cuò)的（stealing is always wrong）”，本應(yīng)負(fù)罪，但一個(gè)but， 將話鋒一轉(zhuǎn)，就“不必感到如此負(fù)罪（guilty）”了，故選D。

第14題：... rules help us live together in harmony， because they show us the right way to treat others. However， some people argue that rules may be ， having observed that rules change all the time， and that some schools have some regulations and others have different ones-so who is to decide what is right？

A. disgusting B. confusing

C. unsafe D. unimportant

解析：連詞副詞however，表轉(zhuǎn)折，說明此句與上句的觀點(diǎn)是相反的。上句“規(guī)章幫助我們和睦相處，因?yàn)樗鼈兏嬖V我們對待他人的正確方式”，這說明rules 的作用應(yīng)該是很明確，不該被質(zhì)疑的。但是有的人偏偏卻“感到困惑（confusing）”，故選B。

2013年廣東高考題：

第4題：If a nest has four eggs and you remove one，the bird will not notice. However，if you remove two，the bird l eaves.

A. generally B. sincerely C. casually D. deliberately

解析：連詞副詞however，表轉(zhuǎn)折，上句講到四個(gè)鳥蛋，拿走一個(gè)，鳥不留意；但一旦拿走兩個(gè)，鳥常常棄窩而去。故選A。

第9題：One man left and the other stayed， but they did not the bird.

A. fool B. hurt C. catch D. kill

解析：連詞but，表轉(zhuǎn)折。上文是說，原想多帶一個(gè)人，就能欺騙到烏鴉，但結(jié)果仍騙不了它。故選A。另外，上文沒有內(nèi)容表明這個(gè)人是要“傷害”“抓住”“殺死”那只烏鴉。

第14題： For example， babies about fourteen months old almost always notice if something is taken away from a small group. But when the number goes beyond three or four， the children are fooled.

A. Seldom B. temporarily C. merely D. often

解析：連詞but，表轉(zhuǎn)折。上文說大約14個(gè)月的嬰兒有數(shù)感，如果數(shù)目很小就能覺察到。但是數(shù)字超出三四個(gè)時(shí)，嬰兒就“常常（often）”搞不清了。故選D。endprint
