理論物理學(xué)家。江蘇吳江人。1941年畢業(yè)于浙江大學(xué)。1948年獲英國愛丁堡大學(xué)哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位。國防科工委科技委員會常任委員、顧問、研究員。多年來專門從事理論物理等方面的研究,是中國核技術(shù)研究的開創(chuàng)者之一。在量子力學(xué)和場論方面,與他人共同提出五維空間場理論;在量子力學(xué)條件、相對論及慣性原理下推導(dǎo)出狄拉克方程;用愛因斯坦的等價原理證明水星近日點的運動公式;在固體物理方面提出了以能帶理論為基礎(chǔ)的超導(dǎo)理論,并對電子成對機理論提出批評。提出普遍熱力學(xué)內(nèi)耗理論。在修正TPD模型方面取得重要成果。
1980年當(dāng)選為中國科學(xué)院院士(學(xué)部委員)。
Theoretical physicist. Born in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province.Graduated from Zhejiang University in 1941. Received Ph.D. from Edinburgh University, UK in 1948. Research professor, consultant and permanent member, Science and Technology Committee, State Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
Cheng has been specialized in theoretical physics for years and is one of the pioneers of Chinese nuclear technology investigations. He jointly presented the 5-dimensional space field theory in the field of quantum mechanics and field theory, derived the Dirac equation under quantum mechanics conditions, relative theory and inertia principle, and proved the kinetic formulation of Mercury’s perihelion by using Einstein’s equivalent principle.In the field of solid state physics, he presented his theory of superconductivity on the basis of the energy band theory and raised criticism against conventional model of electron pair. He presented the generalized themodynamic dissipation theory and obtained important results in modifying the TFD models.
He was elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.

函數(shù)論學(xué)家。江蘇吳縣人。1940年畢業(yè)于浙江大學(xué)并轉(zhuǎn)為研究生。1949獲美國普林斯頓大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。北京大學(xué)教授。主要從事數(shù)學(xué)與應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)特別是調(diào)和分析方面的研究與教學(xué)工作,并取得多項很有影響的成果。在多重三角級數(shù)唯一性理論、多重富里葉級數(shù)求和與逼近理論方面作出了開創(chuàng)性并有深遠(yuǎn)影響的成果。是中國多元調(diào)和分析研究的先驅(qū)和學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人。對有限華爾希變換作了系統(tǒng)研究,奠定了此變換的理論基礎(chǔ),為運用此變換于圖像處理提供了理論依據(jù)并作出了優(yōu)秀成果。

Chen has been mainly engaged in the research and education in pure and applied mathematics, especially in harmonic analysis,and obtained lots of very influential results. In his studies of the uniqueness theory of multiple trigonometrical series, summation and approximation theory of multiple Fourious series, he made pioneering achievements of far-reaching effects. He is respected as the pioneer and foregoer in multi-variable harmonic analysis in China. With his systematic studies, he has laid the theoretic foundation for the finite Walsh transformation, provided theoretic basis for applying this trans formation in image processing, and carried out excellent work.
He was elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.
謝家麟

加速器物理學(xué)家。河北武清人。1943年畢業(yè)于燕京大學(xué)。1951年獲美國斯坦福大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。中國科學(xué)院高能物理研究所研究員。50至60年代,在領(lǐng)導(dǎo)研制電子直線加速器、大功率速調(diào)管科研工程中獲得重要成果。80年代在領(lǐng)導(dǎo)北京正負(fù)電子對撞機工程的設(shè)計、預(yù)研和建造中做出突出貢獻(xiàn)。90年代初,領(lǐng)導(dǎo)建成亞洲第一臺紅外區(qū)北京自由電子激光裝置。數(shù)十年來,通過在加速器領(lǐng)域的研究、建造和人才培養(yǎng),為中國實驗物理和加速器物理及技術(shù)的發(fā)展起了重要的推進(jìn)作用。
1980年當(dāng)選為中國科學(xué)院院士(學(xué)部委員)。

From the 1950s to 1960s, Xie made many contributions in leading the development of China’s electron linear accelerator,high power klystron, etc.. In the 1980, he guided the design,prefabrication research and construction of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider and made outstanding contributions as the project director. He was later responsible for the development of Beijing Free Electron Laser project which was the first facility in Asia that lased in the IR spectrum region. With decades of research,construction and personnel training in the field of accelerator, he has played an important role in advancing Chinese experimental physics and accelerator physics and technology.
He was elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.

物理學(xué)家。女。福建泉州人。1946年畢業(yè)于廈門大學(xué)。1951年獲美國麻省理工學(xué)院物理系哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位。復(fù)旦大學(xué)教授、顧問。第三世界科學(xué)院院士,美國文理科學(xué)院外國名譽院士。主要從事半導(dǎo)體物理、固體能譜和表明物理等方面的教學(xué)與研究,取得多項重要成果,并是這些方面科學(xué)研究的主要倡導(dǎo)者和組織者之一。90年代主要從事半導(dǎo)體表面和界面、短周期超晶格的聲子譜的研究并取得重要成果。
1980年當(dāng)選為中國科學(xué)院院士(學(xué)部委員)。

Xie is mainly engaged in the education and research in semiconductor physics, solid state energy spectrum and surface physics and has made many important achievements. She also acts as one of the major initiators and organizers in these fields.In the 1990s, she has concentrated her interests in the studies of surface and interface of semiconductor and short-period superlattics phonon spectrum and has made some significant phonon spectrum and has made some significant progress.
She was elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.
