Abstract: Contemporary Marxist philosophy is faced with the plight which makes scientific theory as the only explanation. In other words, philosophy is equated with science, and Marxist philosophy is mainly argued through pure scientific and rational methods and scientific evidence. One way to reverse this situation is regaining value basis of philosophy. Philosophy is a double variation of science and values, and the value is the origin of philosophy. Marxist philosophy is a practical philosophy based on instrumental rationality and value rationality, and it is dialectical unity of science and value.

The above problems on the one hand stem from the separation of urban and rural party building, on the other hand the new situations and new changes appearing among party members of new generation of migrant workers, and a lack of organizational leadership and theoretical guidance as well. As a result, in order to carry on the work vigorously, we must establish new scientific management mechanism, explore effective ways for the new generation of migrant works to join the party, establish and improve the care incentive mechanism and construct highly qualified personnel of party building works, as well as create the needed development environment for the party building works among new generation of migrant works.

Abstract: In order to search current causes and solution of many social problems in China, the two "opposing" theories

—system determinism and cultural determinism, are formed. Due to the mutually reinforcing relationships between culture and institutional, determinism thinking both in theory and in practice has its inevitable flaws. In addition to the economic development, the modernization of China still need system innovation and cultural transformation, both of the tasks are equally important. But from a practical point, the changes and improvement of institution shows more urgent.

Abstract: Culture is the complex with the overall structure composed of the material, institutions and mental dimensions. The culture of the material aspects is external appearance, renders in a specific way of life. Spiritual culture is psychological and abstract images of the culture of material aspects. System culture is the bones of the entire cultural complex. Cultural phenomena of Material aspects are the manifestation of its system and its implementation. System cultural requires and constrains the manifestation of the material culture on spiritual culture. From the perspective of social governance, spiritual things are intangible, which should only be promoted. And the material things are only measured through the organization and implementation of the system. Of course, the system is not a dead letter but useful and effective institutions and rules in practical political, economic, legal and social life, which truly decides what to do and a real pattern of "the culture meeting the will of people".

Abstract: In the 21st century, there are two cultural traditions in China—Ancient Chinese culture and May Fourth New Culture. When we recognize that "Chinese Classics" inherits the functions of traditional culture, we also caution the narrow mentality of cultural conservatism. May Fourth new cultural tradition must be selected and established as the cultural direction in the process of China’s modernization. In the today’ context of China, we should adhere to the guidance of scientific spirit and democratic concept, rationally integrate the two cultural traditions, hold the intellectual bottom line, continue to involve social life through academic studies, and participate in the construction of socialist new culture.

        WhytheMindMustBeaSubstance?

        ZHOU Hong-yu

(Department of Philosophy, Nanjing University, Nanjing 210093, China)

Abstract: At one early stage of his development, Berkely held a Humean account of mind, according to which minds are nothing but congeries of perceptions. But later he abandoned the congeries account, because of its liability to new philosophical difficulties. Throughout his mature writings, Berkeley speaks of minds as substances that underlie or support ideas. He escapes the charge that it is inconsistent to retain spiritual substance while rejecting material substance by an innovation in the theory of substance and introducing a doctrine of notions into the knowledge of mind.

        Keywords: Berkeley;mind;substance;notion.

        XIE Li-min

(Department of Philosophical, Nanjing University, Nanjing, Jiangsu 210093, China)

Abstract: The so-called "turn" of Heidegger’s thought doesn’t mean a change of the basic issue and view, but a self-adjustment of the expressional strategy. The discourse about nothingness in 1929 is the key of the "turn" riddle. Excluding Christian restrictions, the mystic Eckhart’s thought about Wüste of divinity provides us with a classic template to think about nothingness. Compared with Eckhart’s nothingness as the source of force, we can clearly witness, how Heidegger in the existential analysis of Angst embarks on the old path of Being and Time, and how he afterwards change the previous direction into "from enowning" and thus achieve Being itself.

Keywords: "turn"; nothingness; Wüste; being; fear

Abstract: The Academic Studies of Zhu Qianzhi involve many fields. In terms of history, he set up the concept of "modern history", which claims to study social history and economic history by grasping the modernity of history and applying integrated approach. His "New Vitalist Concept of History" takes culture as the driving force of historical evolution. In the annals of historiography, he utilizes the theory of western historiography and divides the history of Chinese historiography into three stages. These achievements not only enrich his historical philosophy, but also provide a new perspective for the study of history of Chinese historiography.

        CaoYu’sTheField: "CrimeandPunishment"oftheModernAvengers

        ZHANG Lu-chen

(School of Literary Arts, Beijing Normal University, Beijing 100875, China)

Abstract: With the theme of revenge, Cao Yu’s The Field immerses in the wild, creepy, horrible text atmosphere, while it also reflects human nature, ethics and society. Cao Yu tries to show "Crime and Punishment" of the avengers, which got the avengers into all sorts of paradoxes. He shows these paradoxes and digests them in a certain emptiness and absurdity. The Field is far from the so-called "farmer’s revenge" or a simple "extremely love and hate" of human nature, even the conflict of good and evil, but the "Crime and Punishment" of modern China. The Field explores the real survival and death of Chinese people at that time.

Keywords: The Field; "Crime and Punishment"; survival; death
