Universiadeknown as “Little Olympics”,is organized by the International University Sports Federation.Only college students and graduates who have graduated no more than two years can participate in it.

世界大學(xué)生運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)（簡稱“大運(yùn)會(huì)”）素有“小奧運(yùn)會(huì)”之稱，由“國際大學(xué)生體育聯(lián)合會(huì)”主辦，只限在校大學(xué)生和畢業(yè)不超過兩年的大學(xué)生參加。

The 26thUniversiade will be held in Shenzhen from August 12thto August 22ndin 2011.The mainstadium(場館)is located in west of Longgang District,about 15 kilometers away from the city center.

第26屆世界大學(xué)生運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)將于2011年8月12日到8月22日在中國深圳舉行。主場館位于深圳市龍崗中心城西區(qū)，距離市中心約15公里區(qū)。

The emblem of Shenzhen 26thUniversiade is “Happy U”.“Happy U”consists of(組成)coloreddots(圓點(diǎn))of different sizes. Each dot is an element of the logo,which have a rich variety of meanings.Red,green,yellow,blue and black are the basecolors(基色)of the whole “Happy U”.Colorful dots are freely arranged in the U.

第二十六屆大運(yùn)會(huì)的會(huì)徽是 “歡樂的U”。“歡樂的U”由大大小小的彩色圓點(diǎn)組成，每個(gè)圓點(diǎn)作為logo的其中一個(gè)元素，沒有固定含義。整個(gè)“歡樂的U”以紅、綠、黃、藍(lán)、黑為基色，五種色彩的圓點(diǎn)組合成一個(gè)U形，五彩圓點(diǎn)自由地排列在U形中。

U is rich in meanings.It may stand for“university”, “you”, “union”, “universe” or other words.It can also stands for bays in

48 Shenzhen,such as Dapeng Bay,suggesting a happy reunion of college students of different colors from the five continents.U implies inclusiveness(容納)and openness.U has six different meanings,including a happy U,an open U,an inclusive U,a youthful U,a universal U and a futuristic U.

U的含義很豐富，它可以代表大學(xué)、你、聯(lián)合、宇宙或者其他的詞語。U也可以理解為深圳的海灣，比如大鵬灣，預(yù)示著五大洲不同膚色的大學(xué)生聚集大鵬灣；U象征既容納又開放，它可以有六種不同的理解——?dú)g樂的U、開放的U、包容的U、青春的U、世界的U、未來的U。

“UU”,the mascotforthe Shenzhen Summer Universiade,is a smiling face developed from the “Happy U”.And “UU”has the shape of the initial letter of“Universiade”.It breaks the tradition that many important sport meetings tend to use human figures,animals or plants as their mascots.

吉祥物“UU”是由深圳2011世界大運(yùn)會(huì)會(huì)徽 “歡樂的U”演變而成一張笑臉，同時(shí)，又具有“Universiade”的首寫字母“U”的形態(tài)，打破了重大體育賽事通常用人物或動(dòng)植物形象作為吉祥物的傳統(tǒng)。

“UU” is given a variety of cute facial expressions:joyous,sweetand somewhat playful.These images are designed to show the greatvitality(活力)anduplifting(積極的)spiritofthe young people,express the expectation of the host city for the Shenzhen Summer Universiade.

“UU”被賦予了豐富可愛的面部表情：歡樂、甜美，還有頑皮。這種形象設(shè)計(jì)表現(xiàn)了年輕人活力無限、積極向上的特點(diǎn)，表達(dá)了東道主城市深圳對(duì)大運(yùn)會(huì)的期盼之情。

On June 26,2008,Shenzhen Summer Universiade officially released its slogan“StartHere”.Expertsbelieve that “Start Here”can be applied extensively and show the Universiade’s focus oninnovation(創(chuàng)新).

2008年6月26日，深圳大運(yùn)會(huì)正式公布它的口號(hào)為“從這里開始”。專家認(rèn)為“從這里開始”可以被廣泛地應(yīng)用，表達(dá)了大運(yùn)會(huì)對(duì)于創(chuàng)新的關(guān)注。

The core graphics is “Happy Reunion”.The graphics consists of four parts—human beings,sky,the earth and the ocean.Ten graphics mix together and form a “U”.It stands for the vigour of youth,the magic of nature and theco-exist(共存)between human beings and the nature.

大運(yùn)會(huì)核心圖形的名稱為“歡聚”，圖形由四部分構(gòu)成：人，天空，大地，海洋。10個(gè)小圖相互融合，組成一個(gè)“U”的形狀，象征著青春的活力，自然的神奇以及人與自然的和諧共存。

The core graphics are designed by the team of Central Academy of Fine Arts.As part of the basic images of the Universiade,the core graphics serve to connect together the emblem,the slogan and the mascot.It plays an important role in creating the unique look and image of the Universiade and in showing the ideas of the Universiade and the spirit of Shenzhen.

核心圖形是由中央美術(shù)學(xué)院設(shè)計(jì)的。核心圖形是大運(yùn)會(huì)基礎(chǔ)形象元素之一，是聯(lián)接會(huì)徽、口號(hào)、吉祥物等大運(yùn)會(huì)形象元素的紐帶，對(duì)于營造深圳2011世界大運(yùn)會(huì)獨(dú)特的形象與景觀、展現(xiàn)世界大運(yùn)會(huì)理念與深圳精神起到重要作用。
