Meng Xiyuan was born in 1943. Hisnative place is Quyang county， Hebeiprovince. He graduated from the departmentof Chinese painting of China Academy of Art.He is a professor of the Research Institute ofCulture and History of Inner MongoliaAntonomous Region， a professor of thePainting and Calligraphy Academy of CentralResearch Institute of Culture and History， amember of China Artists Association， thedirector of Inner Mongolian ArtistsAssociation， and the 8th and 9th CPPCCmember of Inner Mongolian AutonomousRegion. Some of his artworks have beenpresented to foreign friends in the name ofGovernment as national gifts. He used to holdexhibitions in Thailand， Singapore， Korea andmany other countries and regions.
