Qiu Shisen was born in Qingdao， Shandong province in 1961. He graduatedfrom the department of sculpture of Shandong University of Art Design in1987. From 1985 to 1988， he researched and developed the modern technologyof black pottery with his father. And now， he is the executive vice president ofFine Arts and Calligraphy Research Academy of Jinan Military Region， amember of China Artists Association， a member of China Sculpture Society，the vice chairman of Shandong Artists Association， the vice chairman ofShandong Sculptors Association， the visiting professor of Shandong Universityof Art Design， and the national senior painter. Many of his works have beenchosen into art exhibitions and owned prizes at the same time.
