Wild Goose and Fox made friends and lived together. Later Wild Goose had some nestlings and loved and cared for them very much.Fox stared at the young wild geese and thought， \"How nice it would be to eat the tender meat of the little things!\"

One day， Wild Goose and Fox went out to find food. Goose flew to a far off lake grown with grass while Fox turned back to the nest and caught hold of the fattest nestling and ate it.

After a while Mother Goose came back. Fox said with tears in his eyes， \"Too bad! When I came back， one of your young was missing... \"

Wild Goose fell into great sadness and cried from evening till daybreak.The next morning， they went looking for food again.Coming home in the evening，however， Wild Goose found another young goose missing.

Fox pretended to comfort her and said， \"It must have been eaten by the Frog.I saw him hanging around here a moment ago.\"

The next day， Wild Goose went to Frog to seek revenge.She left the grass lake in a fearful mess and set Frog running for life everywhere.Arrivinghome，she found even the last of the young missing and asked Fox， \"What happened?\"

Fox answered， \"A fire broke out in your house.\"

Wild Goose burst into a rage， but Fox was about to fall asleep aside， daydreaming how to eat up Wild Goose. \"Old friend，\" said Wild Goose.\"This is no longer the place to live in.Let's move to the other side of the grass lake. There are many nice things as food.\"

\"But I have no wings.How can I fly across the lake?\" asked Fox.

\"I would like to carry you on my back，\" said Wild Goose.

Fox agreed.

With Fox on her back. Wild Goose flew to the sky.

\"Can you see the earth? \"asked Wild Goose.

\"Yes， it is as big as a fist，\" replied Fox.

Wild Goose flew higher and asked again， \"How about now?\"

\"As big as a copper.\"

\"Great!\"said Wild Goose， and at that very moment she cast Fox down from high in the sky in revenge.

Fox fell onto the ground， broken into a mess of meat.

大雁和狐貍交上了朋友，住在一起。后來(lái)，大雁生了孩子，非常關(guān)愛(ài)它們。狐貍瞪圓眼睛，看著小雁，心想:“這些小家伙的肉該有多鮮美啊!”

有一天，大雁和狐貍出去尋找食物，大雁飛向遠(yuǎn)處一個(gè)野草叢生的湖泊，狐貍卻轉(zhuǎn)回來(lái)，把最肥的一只雁寶寶抓住吃掉了。

一會(huì)兒，大雁媽媽回來(lái)了。狐貍兩眼淚汪汪地說(shuō):“唉!糟了，我回來(lái)時(shí)你的一個(gè)孩子不見(jiàn)了……”

大雁聽(tīng)了傷心極了，從晚上一直哭到天亮。天亮后，他們又一同去尋找食物。晚上回來(lái)，又有一只小雁不見(jiàn)了。

狐貍假惺惺地安慰大雁說(shuō):“一定是叫那只青蛙吃了!我剛才還看到青蛙在這里轉(zhuǎn)來(lái)轉(zhuǎn)去呢?！?/p>

第二天，大雁就飛去找青蛙報(bào)仇。她把草湖攪了個(gè)亂七八糟，青蛙四處逃竄。大雁回家一看，連最后的一只小雁也不見(jiàn)了，于是，她就問(wèn)狐貍:“這是怎么回事?”

狐貍說(shuō):“你家起了火?！?/p>

大雁聽(tīng)了怒從心起。狐貍卻要在一旁睡覺(jué)，盤(pán)算著怎樣連大雁也吃掉。大雁對(duì)他說(shuō):“老朋友，這個(gè)地方我們不能呆啦，我們搬家到草湖那一邊去吧，那里有的是美食?！?/p>

狐貍說(shuō):“我沒(méi)有翅膀，怎么飛過(guò)草湖呢?”

大雁說(shuō):“我愿背你過(guò)去。”

狐貍同意了。

大雁把狐貍馱在背上，飛向天空。

大雁問(wèn):“你看見(jiàn)地面了嗎?”

“看見(jiàn)了，地面像拳頭一樣大?！?/p>

大雁飛得更高了，又問(wèn):“現(xiàn)在呢?”

“像銅錢(qián)一樣大?！?/p>

“好了!”大雁說(shuō)著，就把狐貍從高空摔下去，為小雁報(bào)仇雪恨。

狐貍掉在地上，摔成了肉餅。
