International Children's Day evolved from1 the 1925 \"World Conference for the Well Being2 of Children\" held in Geneva, Switzerland. Attended by representatives3 from 54 countries, the conference passed the \"Geneva Declaration4 Protecting Children\", which focused on5 poverty, prevention of child labor, education and other issues related to the welfare6 of children around the world. After the conference, various governments around the world designated7 a day as Children's Day, to encourage and bring joy to children as well as to draw the attention of society to children's issues. June 1st is the most popular day, as celebrated in over 21 countries.
國(guó)際兒童節(jié)是從1925年于瑞士日內(nèi)瓦召開的“兒童福利全球會(huì)議”發(fā)展而來的一個(gè)節(jié)日。來自全球54個(gè)國(guó)家的代表參加了該次大會(huì),會(huì)上通過了“日內(nèi)瓦保護(hù)兒童宣言”,其主旨是擺脫貧困、防止使用童工、發(fā)展教育以及其他與全球兒童福利相關(guān)的問題。會(huì)后,全球許多國(guó)家都指定了某一天作為兒童節(jié),以鼓勵(lì)和推進(jìn)兒童的福祉,同時(shí)引起全社會(huì)對(duì)兒童問題的關(guān)注。其中,6月1日是最受歡迎的一天,有超過21個(gè)國(guó)家在這一天舉行兒童節(jié)慶祝活動(dòng)。
