一 LOVE
Love is like a flower in spring. It is beautiful and sweet. We love our parents, our teachers and our friends. We are loved at the same time by them. Our life cannot go1 without love.
Learning to love, to return the love you receive is important. Some of young students are used to the fact that they are loved by their parents. They think that it is natural that they receive the love. They take it for granted2 that their parents love them.
One day, I was impressed by an article about a young boy. He lost his parents when he was two years old. As an orphan, he lived a life without love. How he longed to be loved by someone! He looked for love year after year. In his dream, he saw his mother and father. He smiled. What a sweet smile it was! He died afterwards. It was sad that he never found love in his life.
The story is touching3. It tells us to cherish the love we get from the people around us. We are lucky to have parents love us. In the world now, there are still many children who live a kind of life without love and happiness. Let's love our parents, for they make our life happy and full of joy. Let's return the love they give us now. Without their love we will be sad children in this world.

二Open -mindedness
Open-mindness1 is a much-valued2 quality of human being. We value such a quality, because it is good to society as a whole. Almost all the great men are marked with such a quality. It is the openness to things new and strange. Open-minded person is willing to consider new opinions, new arguments and new way of doing things.
With open-mindedness we are willing to recognize3 our short points, able to correct mistakes and make progress. With the same quality we can forgive others, put others before4 ourselves. It's the quality that binds us together, and makes our country united5 and strong.
So we should cultivate such a quality, give up narrow-mindedness, go forward with light heart and less burden on our back.

三 The Lesson learned from the failure
I once failed2 in the examination. I failed in the English exam. That was in the fourth year of my primary school. We had started English lesson for a semester3. Now, at the end of the term we were going to have the examination. On the exam day I was anxious because I had not worked hard. I had wasted time away playing and watching TV. When the grades4 came out. It was not surprising that I failed.
I felt ashamed and didn't know what to do with this blow. My teacher Miss Zhang came by, looked at me, my eyes full of tears. She told me that I should not be discouraged by this failure and that I should learn something from this failure. She encouraged me with her trusting expression in the face. In the time that followed I studied hard, memorizing words and phrases every day. I made progress a last and came out the first in the class. I remembered this lesson and bore that lesson always in the mind5.
