1. 28th June， National Stadium's (Bird’s Nest) celebratory ceremony was held in Beijing which will serve as the main venue of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It is located in the Olympic Green and occupies 21.4 hectares. It covers an area of 258，000 square meters， stretching 333 meters from north to south and 298 meters from east to west. The National Stadium is 68 meters high and holds 91，000 seats， which is the world's largest steel structure.

6月28日，2008年北京奧運會主體育場國家體育場（“鳥巢”）落成典禮在北京舉行。國家體育場“鳥巢”系第29屆夏季奧運會主體育場，位于奧林匹克公園內(nèi)，占地21.4公頃，建筑面積25.8萬平方米，南北長333米，東西寬298米，高68米，賽時坐席9.1萬個，是目前世界上跨度最大的鋼結(jié)構(gòu)體育建筑之一。

3. 30 young people from Beijing， half of whom are disabled， are in the Young Advocates Program launched by Cultural and Education Section of British Council. They will work with globally renowned providers of community education， such as the UK's Royal Ballet， to develop the skills to become advocates of the Paralympic Spirit and to encourage the inclusion of young people with disabilities in sport. This program in China will offer training and skills development modules to a group of 120 able and disabled young people from around the region. The training will augment their awareness of the Paralympic Spirit - those ideals of inspiration， determination， participation and equality - and enhance their employability.

來自北京的30個年青人——其中半數(shù)為殘疾人士——在參與由英國文化協(xié)會發(fā)起的“青年行動者計劃”項目。他們將接受像英國皇家芭蕾舞團(tuán)這樣的國際知名社區(qū)教育機(jī)構(gòu)的培訓(xùn)，提高自身的技能以成為殘奧精神的倡導(dǎo)者，并鼓勵殘疾年青人參與到體育運動中來。這個項目會為來自全國各地的一共120名殘疾和健全的年青人提供培訓(xùn)和技能提高課程。這些培訓(xùn)會增強他們對“激勵、堅持、參與、平等”等殘奧精神的理解，并提高他們的就業(yè)能力。
