有些副詞有兩種形式：一是與形容詞同形；另外一種呢，還加了一個-ly尾巴。你知道它們的差別嗎？它們或小或大，足以在考試中把你弄得暈頭轉(zhuǎn)向。

1. clean and cleanly

副詞clean完全不是“干凈的”的意思，而是“徑直地，完全地”意思。

The bullet went clean through his arm. 子彈完全穿過了他的胳膊。

I clean forgot about it. 我完全把這個事情忘了。（這里也可以翻成“我把這個事情忘得干干凈凈了”?？磥碇形暮陀⑽倪€是有共通之處啊?。?/p>

That knife doesn’t cut clean. 那把小刀切起來不利落。

而cleanly就是“清潔地”意思啦。

The desk was cleanly filed. 桌子被整理得干干凈凈。

2. clear and clearly

副詞clear的意思和clean的意思一樣，是“完全地，徑直地”意思。

You see me clear. 你很透徹地看穿我。

He disappeared clear away after the crime. 他犯罪后消失得無影無蹤。

clear還可以解釋為“隔離，不接觸”的意思。

Stand clear of the gate. 別靠近門。

You should keep clear of that stupid guy. 你應(yīng)該離那個蠢家伙遠(yuǎn)一點(diǎn)。

當(dāng)然啦，當(dāng)要表達(dá)諸如“清楚地”“明顯地”意思的時候，你就放心大膽地用clearly吧。

Can you see it clearly? 你看得清楚嗎？

He is clearly wrong. 他明顯錯了。

有兩個句子你要牢牢記住，clear和clearly都可以：

The moon shone clearly / clear. 月光明媚。

He spoke clearly / clear and loudly / loud. 他說話清晰明朗。

3. close and closely

都聽過莫文蔚的Close To You這首歌吧？那為什么不是Closely To You？就讓我來解釋一下這兩個詞的區(qū)別吧！

副詞close修飾具體的事物，表示“接近地”意思。

He lives close to the school. 他住得離學(xué)校很近。

當(dāng)修飾抽象的事物，表示“接近地”、“嚴(yán)密地”、“仔細(xì)地”的時候，就放心大膽地用closely吧！

4. direct and directly

副詞direct作“直線地，不繞圈子地”解。

The train goes there direct. 火車直接開到那兒。

The next flight doesn’t go direct to Rome. 飛機(jī)不直達(dá)羅馬。

He came direct to London. 他直接到了倫敦。

而directly作“直接地”的解。

Answer my question directly! 直接回答我的問題！

She told me very directly and openly. 她直截了當(dāng)?shù)馗嬖V我了。

directly還有“立即”和“馬上”的意思。

I will be there directly. 我馬上就到。

He should be here directly if you don’t mind waiting. 如果您不介意等等，他馬上就到。

5. easy and easily

easy作副詞的時候只出現(xiàn)在固定搭配中。

Take it easy. 別著急，慢慢來。

Go easy. 別著急。

Easy come， easy go. 好來好散。

Stand easy! 稍息！

除此之外，都用easily。

I finished it easily. 我一下子就搞定了。

He is not easily satisfied. 他不容易滿足。

6. firm and firmly

firm作副詞用時，只出現(xiàn)在以下的固定搭配中：

Stand firm. 站穩(wěn)了啊。

Always hold firm to what you believe. 堅(jiān)持你所信仰的東西。

7. high and highly

high用作副詞用的時候也只出現(xiàn)在以下幾種情況中，你牢牢記住就好！

aim high力爭上游

hold one’s head high驕傲

play high大賭注

search high and low到處尋找

run high激動

fly high有雄心

highly通常是抽象的“高”的意思。

He spoke highly of her. 他大大贊美她。

He paid highly for his stupid behaviors. 他為他做的蠢事付出了很高的代價。

8. right and rightly

這兩個詞語當(dāng)表示“對”的意思的時候都可以修飾動詞，但是rightly通常放在動詞之前。你可以看看下面的句子。

He rightly guessed that you were not going there.

He guessed right that you were not going there. 他猜對了，你不會去。

If I remember right， you were my high school classmate. 如果我記得沒錯的話，你是我的高中同學(xué)。

If I’m rightly informed， I should be there right away. 如果消息沒錯的話，我得馬上去。

9. sharp and sharply

這兩個詞都可當(dāng)作“急劇地”意思解。

At the crossroads， we turned sharp to the left. 我們在十字路口突然來了個左轉(zhuǎn)。

The road turns very sharply. 道路起伏不平。

另sharp作副詞時表達(dá)“準(zhǔn)時”或“倉猝”的意思，多半修飾時間、方向和音符；sharply則是“刻薄”或“尖刻”的意思，多半修飾行動和說話。

The violins were playing sharp． 小提琴能演奏高音。

Don’t speak too sharply to them，please． 請不要對他們說話過于尖刻了。

10. slow and slowly

slow作副詞用的時候僅僅能用于go slow這樣的搭配。其他情況都用slowly。

The workers decided to go slow. 工人們決定怠工一會兒。

Speak slowly， please. 拜托您說慢點(diǎn)兒。

Drive slowly when you are crossing the road. 過那條馬路的時候開慢點(diǎn)兒。
