上期題目

我見(jiàn)到的很多女性，包括很多事業(yè)有成、受過(guò)良好教育的女性，壓根就沒(méi)有想追求真正的平等。她們只想享受“平等”帶來(lái)的權(quán)利，而拒絕一切義務(wù)。另一方面，今天，很多女性在經(jīng)濟(jì)上已經(jīng)可以和男人平起平坐了，但她們的精神并沒(méi)有真正地自立起來(lái)。由于受到傳統(tǒng)觀念的強(qiáng)烈暗示和催眠，她們恨嫁、哀嘆命運(yùn)的不公、為某人的一個(gè)眼神而徹夜難眠。符合她們要求的男人多半已經(jīng)名草有主，“情人”于是成了某些女性苦澀又難以擺脫的身份。

I have contacted with many women who are well-educated and have a successful career. They never think of the real equality. What they concern is only the right that \"equality\" brings to them and they refuse to take any obligations. On the other hand， nowadays many women have as much money as men but they are not independent spiritually. Affected by traditional concepts， they complain about their marriage and fate. What's more， they lie awake all night for men's expression in the eye. Most of the men who they love have married. Therefore， \"mistress\" becomes their identity which is hard to get rid of.

外編點(diǎn)評(píng)：在英語(yǔ)中我們從來(lái)不說(shuō)“contacted with”，“contact”是及物動(dòng)詞，后面直接跟賓語(yǔ)就可以，或者使用“spoken to”或“spoken with”。文中“What they concern is only the right…”不妨改為“Their only concern is the right…”。總體來(lái)說(shuō)這還是一篇不錯(cuò)的譯文，但有些地方表達(dá)需要更簡(jiǎn)潔些。例如可以將文中的一句改寫(xiě)為“waiting for the chance to catch a man's eye”。

Lots of women I have met， including the ones who are well-educated and successful in their careers， however， have never thought about seeking the equality in true meaning. What they want is just to enjoy the rights brought by \"equality\" while refuse to carry out even a bit obligation. On the other hand， many women nowadays have already been economically equal with men. But as for the spiritual aspect， they still haven't been independent yet. Due to the strong psychological implication of the traditional value， they have an insane desire to get married， sighing for the unfairness of their fate and suffering in the totally sleepless night just for someone's single glimpse. Most of the men who are successful enough to fulfill their requirement have already had their own wives. Thus \"illegal lover\" became some women's painful identity which is hard for them to cast off.

外編點(diǎn)評(píng)：最好去掉第一句里的“however”，然后將“the equality in true meaning”改為“True meaning of equality”。第二句不妨再緊湊一些，建議改為“They just want to enjoy the privileges brought on by equality， without having to carry out their own obligations.”。“But”處可以作為一個(gè)轉(zhuǎn)折分句出現(xiàn)，不必另起一句。文中出現(xiàn)的幾個(gè)現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)改為一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。希望譯者能使用盡量簡(jiǎn)潔的語(yǔ)言來(lái)表達(dá)。建議將“情人”譯為“mistress”。

Many women I've encountered， including those professionally successful and well-educated ones， do not have the slightest intention of pursuing genuine equality. They simply want to enjoy the rights brought about by \"equality\" and refuse to fulfill every obligation. On the other hand， in today's world， lots of women are financially equal to men while not self-reliant spiritually. They， as strongly hinted and hypnotized by traditional values， hate to get married， lament the unfair fate and remain sleepless overnight for some man’s look. Those men who are up to their standards are mostly not available. Therefore， \"mistress\" has become some women's painful identity which is hard to get rid of.

外編點(diǎn)評(píng)：本期活動(dòng)中一篇不錯(cuò)的譯文。整篇譯文文筆比較流暢，前半部分的翻譯我很欣賞。我個(gè)人意見(jiàn)，將譯文中的“hinted and hypnotized”改成“encouraged”吧。

本期題目：

“圓明園具有唯一性和不可復(fù)制性，沒(méi)有必要異地重建?！弊谔炝帘硎?，盛時(shí)的圓明園是獨(dú)特地理環(huán)境和文化氛圍孕育出來(lái)的文化名園，對(duì)它進(jìn)行重建需要有足夠的歷史資料為依據(jù)。但即使將目前國(guó)內(nèi)外所能掌握的全部資料匯集到一起，最多也只能占圓明園全部資料的70%左右，而且圓明園盛時(shí)收藏及流散文物的類別和數(shù)量，至今尚無(wú)準(zhǔn)確統(tǒng)計(jì)。
