Long time ago， at the mountainside， there lived a brother and his sister called Jack and Jane.

One day， their mom went out to sell rice cakes. On her way back， she met a tiger.Unfortunately， she was eaten by the tiger there. The tiger was still not full， and it went to the brother and sister's house and decided to eat them as well. It knocked at the door and tried to persuade them to open the door.

\"Who is it?\" Jack said.

\"I'm your mom， sweet darlings!\" the tiger shouted.

\"Well， you don't sound like our mom. Who are you， really?\"

\"I've got a bad cold. That's the reason for it.\"

While the tiger spoke， Jack and Jane realized that it was a tiger and it stood outside pretending to be their mom. So they quietly went outside by the backdoor， and climbed the tallest tree so that they could be safe.

\"Jack? Jane? Did you go out?\" the tiger cried.

\"How dare you trick me like that! For the reward， tell me how to climb that tree !\"Seeing the brother and the sister were in the tree， the tiger boiled with anger.

Even though the tiger was huge， it was still small comparing to the tall tree. After a few minutes， the tiger came up the tree using an old ax from the house.

\"Please god， we'll be kind children for the rest of our lives， so please help us!\" Jack and Jane begged.

Surprisingly， from the dark sky， a strong rope came down for the brother and sister. They went up to the sky and turned into the sun and the moon.

While then， the tiger came to the top of the tree and begged as well. \"God， please give me a rope. I'll be a nicer tiger， too.\"

Also， there was a rope for the tiger. But it was an old rotten rope so that the tiger fell to the ground and died.

很久以前，山腳下住著兄妹倆，哥哥叫杰克，妹妹叫簡(jiǎn)。

一天，他們的媽媽出門(mén)去賣(mài)米糕。她在回家的路上碰到了一只老虎，媽媽不幸被老虎吃了。老虎沒(méi)吃飽，就來(lái)到了兄妹倆的住處，要把他倆都吃掉。

老虎敲著房門(mén)，哄他們開(kāi)門(mén)。

杰克問(wèn)：“是誰(shuí)呀？”

老虎吼道：“親愛(ài)的孩子，是媽媽呀?！?/p>

杰克說(shuō)：“你聽(tīng)起來(lái)不像媽媽?zhuān)愕降资钦l(shuí)？”

老虎辯解道：“我患了重感冒，所以聽(tīng)起來(lái)聲音不對(duì)勁。”

老虎說(shuō)話(huà)的時(shí)候，屋里的兄妹倆已知道門(mén)外是一只冒充媽媽的老虎。他們悄悄地從后門(mén)出來(lái)，爬到了一棵最高的大樹(shù)上，老虎就抓不到他們了。

老虎還在喊：“杰克，簡(jiǎn)，你們還在屋里嗎？”

老虎發(fā)現(xiàn)這兄妹倆爬上了大樹(shù)，怒火中燒，他叫道：“好啊，你們竟敢騙我，快告訴我，你們是怎么爬上去的。我饒你們不死?！?/p>

盡管老虎身高體大，但與大樹(shù)相比，可就相形見(jiàn)絀了。幾分鐘后，老虎從屋里找出一把斧頭，以此為工具往樹(shù)上爬。

這時(shí)，杰克和簡(jiǎn)祈求道：“上帝呀，救救我們吧，我們?cè)敢庾鲆惠呑雍萌恕！?/p>

不可思議的事情發(fā)生了。漆黑的天空中垂下一根又粗又結(jié)實(shí)的繩子，杰克和簡(jiǎn)順著繩子來(lái)到了天上，隨之變成了太陽(yáng)和月亮。

這時(shí)，老虎爬上了樹(shù)梢，也向上帝祈求道：“上帝呀，也給我一根繩子吧，我會(huì)做一只更好的老虎?！?/p>

真的又垂下來(lái)一根繩子，可是這根繩子又舊又不結(jié)實(shí)，結(jié)果老虎掉到地上摔死了。
