“綠眼睛”，對(duì)稚氣撲臉的命名者方明和而言，其用意是非常純真的：他們決心像保護(hù)眼睛一樣保護(hù)人類的生存環(huán)境。用他的話來(lái)說(shuō)：“綠，是環(huán)境的主題，更是希望的底色與詩(shī)性?！?/p>

方明和，一位中國(guó)普通的中學(xué)生。一群溫州蒼南的中學(xué)生們?cè)谒某h下，自發(fā)創(chuàng)立了“綠眼睛”青少年環(huán)保團(tuán)體。成立五年來(lái)，“綠眼睛”懷著對(duì)人類生存環(huán)境之綠的擔(dān)憂與關(guān)愛(ài)，各自從身邊每一件利于環(huán)保的小事做起，不畏困難險(xiǎn)阻，堅(jiān)忍不拔，扎扎實(shí)實(shí)，成績(jī)卓然，受到國(guó)內(nèi)外環(huán)保組織的關(guān)注與嘉獎(jiǎng)：2001年，方明和代表“綠眼睛”在北京人民大會(huì)堂接受了國(guó)家環(huán)?？偩志珠L(zhǎng)親自授予的全球最大的環(huán)保獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)之一——福特環(huán)保獎(jiǎng)；2002年至2004年，聯(lián)合國(guó)和平大使珍·古道爾博士三次授予“綠眼睛”Roots Shoots年度成就獎(jiǎng)；2003年，“綠眼睛”再次榮獲國(guó)家級(jí)“地球獎(jiǎng)”，成為中國(guó)獲獎(jiǎng)級(jí)別最高的環(huán)保組織。

如今，“綠眼睛”活力蓬勃，影響愈來(lái)愈廣泛，由“綠眼睛”成員帶動(dòng)的環(huán)保公益項(xiàng)目已經(jīng)分布全國(guó)許多地區(qū)，“綠眼睛”成了中國(guó)青少年環(huán)保運(yùn)動(dòng)的杰出代表。

“一個(gè)非常勇敢的孩子”

在世界地球日，2005年4月22日這一天，“綠眼睛”再次赴京領(lǐng)取首屆SEE生態(tài)獎(jiǎng)。著名經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家吳敬璉對(duì)“綠眼睛”的環(huán)保行為大加贊揚(yáng)，他說(shuō)：“今天我們看見(jiàn)了溫州的年輕人朋友，他們對(duì)于守望家園不但有理念且有決心和行動(dòng)，他們代表‘希望的一代’!”

受到著名經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家吳敬璉大加贊揚(yáng)的這位年輕朋友方明和，既不是社會(huì)大人物，也不是商壇著名企業(yè)家，他是一位尋常的年輕人，一位普通中學(xué)生。

方明和對(duì)大自然的熱愛(ài)，對(duì)生存環(huán)境的保護(hù)意識(shí)，出于他的秉性，他從小就有兩個(gè)愛(ài)好：善待動(dòng)物和博覽環(huán)保書(shū)報(bào)。

初三那年方明和15歲。他細(xì)心喂養(yǎng)的那只狗懷孕了，這讓他又驚又喜。但方明和特別擔(dān)心，狗下崽時(shí)怎樣幫它接生呢?他查找獸醫(yī)方面的書(shū)，當(dāng)他為狗接生知識(shí)還未弄懂之時(shí)，那只狗順利地成為三個(gè)孩子的媽媽。方明和目睹狗媽媽用舌頭舔舔這只小狗崽又用前爪摟摟另一只小狗崽時(shí)，母狗的母性親情令他內(nèi)心受到震撼：動(dòng)物也有母愛(ài)，也同樣有著保護(hù)下一代的意識(shí)，而人憑什么卑視與戕害它們的愛(ài)和生存的權(quán)利呢?……

平時(shí)方明和喜歡閱讀《中國(guó)環(huán)境報(bào)》等報(bào)刊，他從報(bào)上了解到當(dāng)下生存環(huán)境被污染與破壞狀況日益嚴(yán)重，特別是當(dāng)他讀到了“被剝了皮的藏羚羊在可可西里狂奔”的血淋淋的報(bào)道后，他的內(nèi)心流淚了。他開(kāi)始結(jié)識(shí)馮剛、梁從誡、吳方笑薇等許多著名環(huán)保志愿人士，并與“地球之友”、“自然之友”等環(huán)保組織書(shū)信來(lái)往。顯然，少年方明和起先的理念是拯救家園，愛(ài)護(hù)生態(tài)與捍衛(wèi)動(dòng)物生存權(quán)利。

初三那年暑假，他制作十幾塊環(huán)保題材的剪報(bào)，從家鄉(xiāng)蒼南趕到80公里外的溫州市區(qū)公園巡展，他開(kāi)始把拯救動(dòng)物作為自己的使命，他奉勸那些不法之徒不要販賣與殘殺野生動(dòng)物。

有一次他看到一個(gè)偷獵者在出賣野生黃麂，便暗中跟蹤然后向110打電話舉報(bào)。當(dāng)民警趕來(lái)時(shí)那個(gè)偷獵者趁機(jī)溜了。他怕民警說(shuō)他謊報(bào)案情，便一路猛追，當(dāng)他追丟了賣麂人，便向一位目擊老人打聽(tīng)賣麂人的去向，不料老者的表情令他大所失望。他回憶說(shuō)：“當(dāng)時(shí)那老人的目光冰冷、漠視，讓我一輩子都記住他!”又有一次他在蒼南龍港鎮(zhèn)調(diào)查野生動(dòng)物被偷獵狀況，正遇上三名男子開(kāi)槍打鳥(niǎo)，他立即向槍聲方向沖去?！安灰?，你不知道我在開(kāi)槍打鳥(niǎo)嗎!”一名男子向他大吼。方明和不理會(huì)打鳥(niǎo)者的吼叫威脅，在砰砰驟響的槍聲里拍下了他們偷獵的照片，向當(dāng)?shù)亓謽I(yè)部門提供這三名男子偷獵的確鑿證據(jù)。聯(lián)合國(guó)和平大使珍·古道爾博士了解到他的這些事跡，感動(dòng)地說(shuō)：“方明和，確實(shí)是個(gè)非常勇敢的孩子!”

每串腳印都溢滿綠色之情

方明和帶領(lǐng)“綠眼睛”成員開(kāi)展一個(gè)個(gè)環(huán)保活動(dòng)，每次行動(dòng)都留下了他們的一串串扎實(shí)腳印，每串腳印都溢滿著他們純真的綠色之情。

走向大自然，了解大自然，愛(ài)護(hù)大自然，這是方明和的“綠眼睛”課外行動(dòng)重點(diǎn)。這些年來(lái)，“綠眼睛”北上南下，尋訪和考察了蒼南的母親河源頭、福建的鳥(niǎo)島、廈門的紅樹(shù)林等等。他們像一支長(zhǎng)征的隊(duì)伍，跋山涉水，過(guò)村掠鎮(zhèn)，沿途見(jiàn)人便宣傳環(huán)保知識(shí)，喚起人們的環(huán)保意識(shí)。

那是一個(gè)雨后陰天，方明和帶著“綠眼睛”成員沿著蒼南母親河橫陽(yáng)支江前行。在橫陽(yáng)支江江水滾滾中，飄浮著不少塑料袋以及稻草之類的臟物，江岸的楊樹(shù)、楓橡樹(shù)上，也掛著發(fā)大水時(shí)留下的漂流物，就像掛著“萬(wàn)國(guó)旗”。方明和對(duì)“綠眼睛”們說(shuō)：“我們喝的用的都是母親河的水，不能讓這些臟東西污染它!”同學(xué)方思菲應(yīng)和道：“對(duì)!我們下水去撈。”一聲令下，“綠眼睛”們下水的下水，上樹(shù)的上樹(shù)，不一會(huì)兒，臟物就打撈起幾麻袋!有棵斜長(zhǎng)在江面上的苦楝樹(shù)，樹(shù)上掛著許多洪水時(shí)留下的臟東西，膽小的同學(xué)不敢上樹(shù)，怕掉到江里，方明和卻像猿猴一樣上樹(shù)摘下所有的臟物?！熬G眼睛”繼續(xù)在江岸行進(jìn)，當(dāng)他們走到一個(gè)開(kāi)闊的江灘時(shí)，忽見(jiàn)一輛滿載建筑垃圾的卡車沖下沙灘，方明和一看就知道，那輛卡車想在江灘上傾倒建筑垃圾。于是他大步?jīng)_上前去：“司機(jī)同志!你不能將建筑垃圾倒在江灘，這樣就會(huì)污染江水!”方明和說(shuō)完，同學(xué)們也七嘴八舌地宣傳起環(huán)保來(lái)。司機(jī)一看這陣勢(shì)，只好將卡車駛離江灘。

“綠眼睛”還一直將保護(hù)野生動(dòng)物作為責(zé)無(wú)旁貸的硬任務(wù)來(lái)抓。他們經(jīng)常組織志愿者到街上開(kāi)展巡查野生動(dòng)物販賣，建立此類貿(mào)易的市場(chǎng)督察網(wǎng)絡(luò)，建立受傷動(dòng)物救助站?！熬G眼睛”的動(dòng)物救助站一年救助貓頭鷹、黑翅鳶、豪豬等動(dòng)物多達(dá)300多只!

2001年4月愛(ài)鳥(niǎo)周，“綠眼睛”成員在蒼南人民廣場(chǎng)用繩子和鐵桿拉起幾十米長(zhǎng)的宣傳展板，向過(guò)往市民宣傳愛(ài)鳥(niǎo)，并進(jìn)行愛(ài)鳥(niǎo)民意調(diào)查；一位母親看后感動(dòng)地說(shuō)：“我一定要把自己無(wú)所事事的孩子送到‘綠眼睛’來(lái)，讓她從小為愛(ài)惜動(dòng)物、保護(hù)環(huán)境做些好事!”當(dāng)“綠眼睛”了解到蒼南宜山鎮(zhèn)云巖街道有史以來(lái)還未配備過(guò)垃圾桶，小鎮(zhèn)的河道和沿街上到處丟滿垃圾，于是他們就買來(lái)一只大垃圾桶，組織30余名志愿者前往云巖清掃道路?！熬G眼睛”這一舉動(dòng)推動(dòng)了該鎮(zhèn)的環(huán)保工作，共青團(tuán)宜山鎮(zhèn)委書(shū)記當(dāng)天聞?dòng)嵹s來(lái)一起參加“綠眼睛”清掃活動(dòng)，鎮(zhèn)政府也決定當(dāng)即為云巖增置環(huán)保設(shè)施，聘用專職清潔工人，大大改善了該鎮(zhèn)環(huán)保局面。此外，“綠眼睛”還開(kāi)展“環(huán)保車隊(duì)走四方”項(xiàng)目18次，行程1100公里，志愿服務(wù)2000多小時(shí)，將環(huán)保公益活動(dòng)帶進(jìn)7個(gè)縣市100多個(gè)鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)；他們還啟動(dòng)了中國(guó)第六輛環(huán)境教育車——海鷗車，將環(huán)境教育送入最偏遠(yuǎn)的貧困山區(qū)。

“綠眼睛”的環(huán)保故事很多，可以說(shuō)每個(gè)成員都有一串故事。

“陽(yáng)光總在風(fēng)雨后”

“綠眼睛”沒(méi)有專職老師指導(dǎo)，他們憑著對(duì)環(huán)保理念的自覺(jué)與志同道合，形成了一支投身于環(huán)保的隊(duì)伍。在這支隊(duì)伍中，有鄭元英、朱昌藏、黃小桃、曾韓鵬、王新劍、尤偉、周學(xué)程、董瀟瀟、張小輝、方思菲、陳秀峰、賴冰冰、洪輝化、李濤、盧孔朝等等骨干隊(duì)員，他們與方明和一樣，對(duì)人類居住環(huán)境有著原始的保護(hù)意識(shí)，對(duì)大自然野生動(dòng)物有著特殊感情。就說(shuō)“綠眼睛”龍港分團(tuán)第二任團(tuán)長(zhǎng)方思菲吧，她是一位17歲的花季少女，她堅(jiān)信有夢(mèng)想就要將它付諸行動(dòng)!她16歲那年“綠眼睛”龍港分團(tuán)第一任團(tuán)長(zhǎng)因諸多原因辭職，300多志愿人員群龍無(wú)首，這時(shí)方思菲挺身而出，“臨危受命”，接任“綠眼睛”龍港分團(tuán)團(tuán)長(zhǎng)的職務(wù)，并在團(tuán)內(nèi)制定辦公室值班制度，堅(jiān)持分團(tuán)全體人員每周活動(dòng)一次，同時(shí)進(jìn)行義賣活動(dòng)，解決活動(dòng)經(jīng)費(fèi)問(wèn)題。方思菲說(shuō)：“陽(yáng)光總在風(fēng)雨后，我們用堅(jiān)韌鑄就了今日的輝煌?！币荒樦蓺庥致詭追朱t腆的女生、“綠眼睛”靈溪分團(tuán)大隊(duì)長(zhǎng)張小輝，對(duì)于環(huán)?；顒?dòng)總是知難而進(jìn)，恪盡職守，組織環(huán)保公益活動(dòng)的能力相當(dāng)出色，贏得全體成員的稱贊和肯定。張小輝說(shuō)，她的最大心愿就是讓更多的青少年朋友都能自覺(jué)地加入到“綠眼睛”來(lái)，讓各自家園的每個(gè)角落都飄揚(yáng)著“綠眼睛”的旗幟!

“綠眼睛”在環(huán)保公益事業(yè)的敢作敢為，引起了國(guó)內(nèi)外環(huán)保組織的注目。國(guó)際“福特環(huán)保獎(jiǎng)”評(píng)委會(huì)評(píng)估員郭雨小姐千里迢迢來(lái)到蒼南，親眼看到這群青少年一心一意地堅(jiān)持著他們的環(huán)保公益活動(dòng)。她對(duì)圍在她身邊的“綠眼睛”成員說(shuō)：“大家辛苦嗎?”在場(chǎng)的“綠眼睛”成員平時(shí)在環(huán)?；顒?dòng)中無(wú)論受到怎樣的嘲笑、打擊都沒(méi)有流淚，此時(shí)聽(tīng)到從北京專程趕來(lái)的客人的問(wèn)候，一個(gè)個(gè)都泣不成聲。方明和對(duì)北京客人說(shuō)，“不管人們對(duì)‘綠眼睛’評(píng)價(jià)如何都沒(méi)有關(guān)系，您的光臨就是對(duì)我們最大的支持!”

“綠眼睛”青少年學(xué)生對(duì)中國(guó)環(huán)保公益事業(yè)的事跡，終于深深打動(dòng)了“福特環(huán)保獎(jiǎng)”評(píng)委們，他們成了摘取全球最大環(huán)保獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)最年輕的獲得者。

Young “Green Eyes”Watch Environment

Five years ago， Fang Minghe initiated Green Eyes， an organization composed of middle school students all dedicated to environmental protection like him. Fang was fifteen and a middle school student in Cangnan， a county near Wenzhou， in southern Zhejiang Province. In his eyes， the color green is both the theme of environment and the essential touch of hope and poetry. Since then， the members of the Green Eyes have done everything possible to protect the environment around them. Their bravery and achievements have caught the attention of the State Administration of Environmental Protection and won international awards.

Fang Minghe has loved pets and enjoyed reading books and newspapers specialized in environmental protection since his childhood years. When Fang was 15， the dog he had kept was pregnant. He was wild with joy for the would-be mother while extremely worried about the upcoming delivery of little pups. He began to read up veterinary books available. Before he was able to learn more about a safe delivery for the dog， the dog gave birth to three puppies swimmingly. Seeing the mother licking the little ones fondly， Fang was more than touched.

On the other hand， what he read in newspapers and books opened his eyes to the human cruelty to animals and nature itself. He became acquainted with some well known environment protectionists and wrote letters to some eco-friendly organizations.

Fang decided to take action.

In the summer vacation after he had finished the third year of his junior high school， he made a dozen of exhibition boards with newspaper clippings about environment protection. He made a special trip of 80 kilometers from his home in Cangnan to Wenzhou and exhibited his boards in downtown parks. He focused on saving animals and asked people not to kill them.

One day Fang spotted a poacher hawking a deer in a market. He followed the poacher and dialed 110 to report the poacher to police. But the poacher slipped away when the police arrived on the scene. For fear that the police might call him a liar， Fang tried to chase the poacher， but in no avail. What was most disappointing about this experience was not the unsuccessful search for the poacher， but the indifference of an old man who had seen the poacher trying to sell the deer but refused to tell Fang where he had gone. Even today Fang cannot forget the old man's cold and unsympathetic look.

On another occasion， Fang was on a field trip investigating the poaching in Dragon Port Town in Cangnan when he saw three hunters shooting birds. Hearing the bullets cracking through the air， he immediately broke into running towards the hunters. One of the men barked at him: \"You wanna get killed? You don't know I am shooting birds\"Despite the angry threats of the hunters， Fang took pictures and presented the pictures to the forestry authorities as evidence.

To know more about nature to better protect it， Fang and his Green Eyes fellows have also embarked on many study trips over the five years. They trekked to the source of the branch river of Hengyang which flows across Cangnan. On the way， they picked up rubbish from the river and cleaned trees blanking the river. They stopped a truck from trying to dump a truckload of rubbish from a construction site onto a beach of the river.

Green Eyes activists regularly patrol streets and markets to stop vendors from selling wild animals. They also set up a wildlife emergency service. The station has taken care of more than 300 owls， kites， and hedgehogs last year alone.

In the Love Bird Week?in April 2001， Green Eyes displayed lots of exhibition boards at the People's Square in Cangnan， disseminating information on birds to local residents. They also surveyed visitors on their opinions on birds.

After learning that a street in a town in Cangnan had never had a trash bin and that residents there were in the habit of littering at random， Green Eyes chipped in some money and bought a large trash bin for the street. More than 30 Green Eyes volunteers one day appeared to clean the street and the stream that ran in parallel with the street. A town leader joined them in the cleaning. The town government later decided to pay full-time street sweepers to keep the street clean. The Green Eyes also organized 18 trips to promote environment protection in more than 100 towns and cities in seven counties across Wenzhou. The trips covered more than 1，100 kilometers and took them more than 2，000 hours.

A non-governmental group， Green Eyes is composed mainly of middle school students. They don't have a special teacher to coach them.Their greatest wish is to mobilize more youngsters to protect their residential environment and raise the Green Eyes flag over neighborhoods across their hometowns and villages.

Their activities and achievements have won admiration and applause. In 2001， Fang Minghe， on behalf of Green Eyes in Cangnan， received a Ford Conversation and Environmental Grant issued by director of the State Environment Protection Administration at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. For three consecutive years from 2002 to 2004， Green Eyes received Roots and Shoots prize issued by Doctor Jane Goodall. In 2003， Green Eyes received Earth Award， highest honor awarded by the government to an environmental protection organization in the country.
