Are You A computer-llliterate?
True story from a Novell NetWire SysOp:
Caller:\"Hello,isthis Tech Support?\"
Tech: \"Yes, it is. How may I help you?\"
Caller: \"The cup holder on my PC is broken and I am within my warranty period.How do I go about getting that fixed?\"
Tech: \"I'm sorry, but did you say a cup holder?\"
Caller: \"Yes, it's attached to the front of my computer.\"
Tech: \"Please excuse me if I seem a bit stumped, It's because I am. Did you receive this as part of a promotional, at a trade show? How did you get this cup holder? Does it have any trademark on it?\"
Caller: \"Itcamewithmy computer, I don't know anything about a promotional. It just has '4X' on it.”
At this point the Tech Rep had to mute the caller, because he couldn't stand it. The caller had been using the load drawer of the CD-ROM drive as a cup holder, and snapped it off the drive !

技術(shù)員:“抱歉,你說什么?茶托?”
打電話者:“是, (它)就是連在我電腦前部的那玩意兒。”
技術(shù)員:“實在抱歉,我還是沒有弄懂,有時我的確弄不懂。你收到的是作為在升級時一個配件嗎?還是在交易會上買的,你到底怎樣搞到這茶托?上面有沒有什么商標?”
打電話者:“就是和我的電腦一同買回來的,我不知道什么是升級,這上面只有“4X”這個標記。”
談到這里,咨詢員只能對他報以沉默,因為他再也忍受不了。原來,打電話來的那位錯將光盤運載器當作茶托,并將它從驅(qū)動器上折了下來!
