Abstract： Chinese cultural symbols are shared collective memories" acknowledged and embraced by all ethnic groups. They epitomize， among others， the unique “spiritual temperament， aesthetic taste， and value orientation” of the Chinese nation， possessing historical authenticity， commonality， representativeness， and leading qualities， covering symbols from fine traditional Chinese culture， revolutionary culture， and advanced socialist culture. Research on the integration mechanism of Chinese cultural symbols in cultural tourism is of great significance for facilitating the integration of regional Chinese national community construction and rural revitalization， strengthening the value orientation of shared cultural symbols， promoting the high-quality development of cultural tourism integration， and casting a strong sense of Chinese national community.

This article explores the" meaning， classification， and value of Chinese cultural symbols in the ethnic areas of southwest Hubei. It finds that their incorporation into cultural tourism has yielded certain results. However， challenges persist in the integration mechanism： First， the scientific planning leading mechanism is deficient. The region has yet to incorporate the forging of a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation into the overall plan， nor has it reflected the guiding ideology， basic principle， overall goals， main tasks， operational measures， and corresponding departmental responsibilities for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation through cultural tourism. In essence， it lacks specific stipulations for promoting the integration of shared Chinese cultural symbols. Second， the tool for the coordinated development of various departments is imperfect. This is manifested by a fraught supervision and coordination mechanism between ethnic and religious affairs and cultural tourism departments， as well as an incomplete communication and coordination framework between localities and universities. Third， the policy guarantee mechanism is flawed， chiefly reflected in the scarcity of policy support， inadequate financial backing， and imperfect talent guarantee mechanisms.

The establishment and improvement of the integrated development procedure will have a far-reaching impact on the sustainable development of the regional cultural tourism industry， the preservation and inheritance of the shared culture of all ethnic groups， the shaping of regional brand images， and the satisfaction of the spiritual needs of all ethnic peoples. As for practical implementation， this article proposes strengthening top-level design， formulating relevant policies， standardizing market supervision， enhancing talent cultivation， and instituting effect evaluation tools to more accurately and powerfully promote the integration of Chinese cultural symbols. Specifically， it is essential to reinforce the coordinated development mechanism of the top-level scientific design and planning system， formulate an integration policy coordination mechanism， regularize the cultural tourism market service supervision mechanism， improve the training methodology of both cultural and tourism professionals， set up an integration effect evaluation system， and furnish policy guarantees for the integration of Chinese cultural symbols.
