Abstract:This paper has systematically analyzed" the ontological, practical, methodological, and axiological logic involved in forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation through a systematic conceptual framework:
1) Ontological logic: Firstly, consolidating a sense of community for the Chinese nation is viewed as a conceptual system," encompassing" the Chinese nation, Chinese national community, Chinese national community consciousness, and forging a sense of community for the Chinese nation. This" arguably shows both" an organic wholeness and a progressive evolution. Secondly," “Forging” is not" construed as a form of coerced" indoctrination, but rather as an active guidance process. The" object of “Forging” is the people of all ethnic groups in China rather than specific ethnic minorities. Thirdly, the proposal of “forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation” has" undergone a developmental trajectory from initial ideation to practical implementation, and subsequently to a refinement of its conceptual underpinnings and connotations, which distinctly" embody the theoretical" characteristic of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the demands of our times.
2) Practical Logic: Forging" a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation" has demonstrated to require not only a deep understanding of"" “what it is” but also" knowing" “what to do” in practice. This forging of a sense of community" needs to run through all" dimensions of ethnic relations." Key tasks involved in this process of “Forging” include enhancing the identification" with the" Chinese motherland, the Chinese nation, Chinese culture, the Communist Party of China, and socialism with Chinese characteristics, striving to build and solidify a nation-state community and prevent national division. Additionally, other key tasks aspire to instill a" firm national consciousness, citizen consciousness, "and rule of law consciousness among all ethnic" communities. Furthermore, there is to be a concerted endeavor to guide" the cadres and the masses of all ethnic" peoples to cultivate a correct understanding of history, motherland, culture, nation, and religious beliefs.
3) Methodological logic:" Forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is a scientific and systematic project." It is particularly necessary to handle the methodological principle path of “how to do it” under the guidance of" both Marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism. Moreover, it is"" deemed essential to grasp the following four key" principles: The relationship between commonalities and differences, between Chinese national community consciousness and ethnic consciousness, between Chinese and ethnic cultures," and between material and spiritual aspects." President Xi Jinping’s series of major original assertions on these “four relationships”" epitomizes the wisdom of Marxist materialist dialectics, which can be described as a combination of the two aspects and the key points, the unity of the universality and particularity of" a" contradiction, the interdependence of the whole and" its parts, an a coordination of the material and the spiritual aspects.
4) Axiological logic: Forging a firm sense of community for the Chinese nation has the three-tiered value goal of “people-country/nation-human:” Firstly, the purpose of “Forging” is to safeguard the fundamental interests of the people of all ethnic groups and realize their aspirations for improved quality of life. Secondly, it is meant to represent" a strategic move towards achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Thirdly, the process of “Forging” can" potentially contribute to the construction of a community of shared future for humankind, providing China’s wisdom to the world in resolving ethnic conflicts and safeguarding national unity.
