A bunny rabbit lived in the forest. He had many friends. He was proud of hisfriends. One day the bunny rabbit heard the loud barking2 of wild3 dogs. He wasvery scared. He decided to ask for help.

一只小兔子住在森林里。它有很多朋友，它為它的朋友們感到驕傲。一天，小兔子聽到了野狗的叫聲，非常害怕。它決定尋求幫助。

He quickly went to his friend Deer. He said， “Dear friend， some wild dogs arerunning after me. Can you drive them away using your sharp4 antlers5？”The deersaid，“Yes， I can. But now I am busy. Why dont you ask Bear for help？”

它迅速去找它的朋友小鹿，說：“親愛的朋友，有幾只野狗在追我。你能用你鋒利的鹿角把它們趕走嗎？”小鹿說：“我能。但現(xiàn)在我很忙。你為什么不向大熊尋求幫助呢？”

The bunny rabbit ran to Bear. “My dear friend， you are very strong6. Pleasehelp me. Some wild dogs are running after me. Please drive them away，”he said tothe bear. The bear said，“I am sorry. I am hungry and tired. I need to find some foodnow. Please ask Monkey for help.”

小兔子跑向大熊?！拔矣H愛的朋友，你很強(qiáng)壯，請(qǐng)幫幫我。幾只野狗在追我。請(qǐng)把它們趕走吧?！彼鼘?duì)大熊說。大熊說：“對(duì)不起。我又餓又累，現(xiàn)在需要找點(diǎn)食物。請(qǐng)向猴子尋求幫助吧?！?/p>

Poor bunny rabbit went to the monkey， and the monkey said， “Im afraid Icant help you， my friend. My family are waiting for me. I have to go.”

可憐的小兔子走到猴子面前，猴子說：“恐怕我?guī)筒涣四?，我的朋友。我的家人在等我。我得走了。?/p>

The bunny rabbit went to the elephant and the elephant said he was too slowto drive the dogs away. Then the bunny rabbit went to the cow， the sheep and allhis other friends. He was not happy that nobody was ready to help him.

小兔子去找大象，大象說自己太慢了，無(wú)法把野狗趕走。然后兔子去找了奶牛、綿羊和其它所有的朋友，但沒有人愿意幫助它，它感到很不高興。

He understood that he had to think of a way out byhimself. So he hid7 under a bush and lay8 very still. Thewild dogs did not find the bunny rabbit. They went afterother animals.

它明白必須自行想辦法擺脫困境。于是它躲在灌木叢下，一動(dòng)不動(dòng)地躺著。野狗沒有找到小兔子，于是去追逐其它動(dòng)物了。

The bunny rabbit knew that he had to learn to survive9 by himself， notdepending10 on his unhelpful friends.

小兔子知道了它必須學(xué)會(huì)靠自己生存，而不是依靠那些不幫忙的朋友。
