七夕節(jié)于2006年被國務(wù)院列入第一批國家級非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)名錄。此后，“牛郎織女”傳說被列入第二批國家級非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)名錄。這是一個有關(guān)愛與暖的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日。
