Yuzuru Hanyu was born in Sendai, Japan, on December 7,1994. Yuzuru hasn’t been in a good health since his childhood. At the age of 2, Yuzuru was diagnosed with asthma. To build up his body, he went skating with his sister. Day after day, Yuzuru became more and more interested in Figure Skating.

In February 2014, Yuzuru Hanyu competed in the Men Single Skating at the Sochi Winter Olympics. Yuzuru won the gold medal with a total score of 280.09. The young Figure Skating star, from then on, started his era.

On February 9,2020, at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships(4CC) in Seoul, South Korea, Yuzuru Hanyu won his first career 4CC gold medal with a total score of 299.42. After winning the gold medal, Yuzuru Hanyu became the first figure skater to win a clean sweep of gold medals at the Olympic Games, the World Championships, the Grand Prix finals, the Four Continents Championships, the World Junior Championships and other international competitions.
