Brief introduction:
This is a story about greed and loss, a book for children to start understanding themselves as well as others, and how they interact with the world.
Once upon a time, there was a king. A keen collector of all sorts of eccentrics from around the world, he had in his collection the joke-telling parrot, the chess-playing monkey and the tiny elephant that would never grow. It just happened that one day he heard about this miraculous bird that appeared only in the fire — the flame bird. The king wanted this bird so bad that he banned the use of fire in the whole country, leading to great suffering and unceasing complaints from the people. The flame bird finally discovered the flashing fire in the royal palace and made its way in, however the fire grew uncontrollable as a result of the king’s greed, and he got the punishment he deserved.
