◇詞語用法

interesting & interested

interesting和interested都是形容詞，但用法不同。interesting意為“有趣的”，其主語通常是事物;interested意為“感興趣的”，其主語通常是人，be interested in （doing） sth. 意為“對（做）某事感興趣”。例如：

That question is really interesting. 那個問題十分有趣。

I am interested in skating and I spend a lot of time on it. 我對滑冰感興趣，并且在滑冰上花了很多時間。

【知識拓展】

interest 用作名詞時，意為“興趣;趣味”。interest用作動詞時，意為“使感興趣;使關注”。例如：

Henrys interests are listening to music and playing tennis. 亨利的興趣是聽音樂和打網(wǎng)球。

Politics doesnt interest me. 我對政治不感興趣。

ago & before

ago意為“以前”，只作副詞，一般放在表示時間段的詞語之后。before用作副詞時，可單獨使用，意為“以前”;也可以用作介詞或連詞，意為“在……以前”。例如：

Two years ago， he was still a student. 兩年前，他還是個學生。

Li Ming usually gets up before 7：30. 李明通常七點半之前起床。

I didnt know much about Hangzhou before I went there. 在去杭州之前，我對那兒不怎么了解。

shout at & shout to

shout作動詞，意為“呼叫;喊叫”，常與介詞at或to連用。shout at sb.表示“生氣地或敵意地對某人大喊大叫”;shout to sb.表示“大聲叫某人”或“大聲對某人說話”，以引起別人的注意，無辱罵或生氣的意思。例如：

The little girl got very dirty and her mother shouted at her. 這個小女孩很臟，她媽媽沖她大聲叫喊。

She shouted to me， but I didnt hear her. 她大聲叫我，但我沒有聽到。

thousand & thousands of

thousand意為“千”，當其前面有具體數(shù)字時，thousand后面不加“s”，用來修飾復數(shù)名詞;當thousand前面沒有具體數(shù)字時，thousand后要加“s”。常用短語為thousands of，意為“成千上萬的”，表示不確定的數(shù)量，修飾復數(shù)名詞。例如：

The new computer cost me four thousand yuan. 這臺新電腦花了我4，000元。

Thousands of people come to visit the Terracotta Army every year. 每年都有成千上萬的人來參觀兵馬俑。

among & between

among是介詞，意為“在……中;……之一”，表示在三者或三者以上的人或物之中，后面常接復數(shù)名詞、代詞或集合名詞;between多指在兩者之間，其賓語往往是表示兩者意義的名詞或代詞，或是由and連接的兩個人或物。例如：

John is the tallest boy among the three. 約翰是那三個男孩中最高的。

Xian is among the most beautiful cities in China. 西安是中國最漂亮的城市之一。

How is the relationship between them？ 他們倆之間的關系怎么樣？

I sat down between Tina and Anna. 我坐在蒂娜和安娜中間。
