一家荷蘭公司計(jì)劃在2024年將一名孕婦送往太空。孕婦將在太空站完成分娩。產(chǎn)婦和新生兒需要沖破大氣的重重阻力，再回到地球，并在降落傘的保護(hù)下著陸到沙漠。該計(jì)劃的目的在于通過人類在太空分娩的成功案例，探索未來人類在其他星球繁衍生息的可能性。2024年的太空分娩計(jì)劃對新生兒只是一小步，對整個(gè)人類卻是一大步。

A Dutch company called SpaceLife Origin wants to send a pregnant1 woman 250 miles above the Earth to give birth2 and make history， in the name of science.

If our planet becomes uninhabitable（不適合居住的） for human life， we will have to leave and settle in other places. In order to make this goal a success， we first should learn how to reproduce3 in space. It sounds like a crazy idea， but SpaceLife Origin believes that our long-term future depends on it.

According to Egbert， a manager in SpaceLife Origin， learning how to give birth in space is an insurance4 policy for humans. Even if we do discover or build a suitable place away from Earth， we must first find out the secrets of space birth. To do that， SpaceLife Origin plans to organize a series of experiments5 over the next five years， with the most important one – an actual human birth in space – scheduled6 for 2024.

Getting the pregnant woman into space just before shes ready to deliver7 the baby sounds difficult enough， but its the safety of the baby and the childbirth itself that SpaceLife Origin is worried about. SpaceLife Origin acknowledges8 that its plan still has many unknowns9， but thats the main reason for this mission10， to find answers.

如果地球無法再讓人類生存，我們將不得不離開地球，移居他處。為了讓這個(gè)計(jì)劃成功，我們首先要學(xué)會(huì)如何在太空繁衍后代。這聽起來很瘋狂，不過，“太空生命起源”公司認(rèn)為，人類的長遠(yuǎn)生存之計(jì)有賴于這個(gè)計(jì)劃。

這家荷蘭企業(yè)的管理者埃格伯特說，學(xué)習(xí)如何在太空生孩子對人類而言是一種保險(xiǎn)策略。即使我們在遠(yuǎn)離地球之處發(fā)現(xiàn)或建造了宜居的住所，我們也要先揭開太空生育的秘密。為此，“太空生命起源”公司計(jì)劃在未來5年內(nèi)組織一系列實(shí)驗(yàn)，其中真人在太空分娩這項(xiàng)尤為重要，計(jì)劃安排在2024年。

在孕婦分娩前將其送入太空本就已經(jīng)夠困難了，何況還有孩子和分娩過程的安全問題讓公司操心。公司承認(rèn)，計(jì)劃仍有很多未知數(shù)，但這也是任務(wù)的主要目的——尋找答案。
