這是一本非常有趣且幽默的繪本。講述的是一位老奶奶一個(gè)不小心，吞下了一只蒼蠅后所發(fā)生的故事。當(dāng)老奶奶不小心吞了一只蒼蠅后，因?yàn)楹軗?dān)心蒼蠅會(huì)在肚子里動(dòng)來動(dòng)去，所以她緊接著又吞下了蜘蛛去捉蒼蠅、吞下了小鳥去捉蜘蛛、吞下了小貓去捉小鳥、吞下了小狗去捉小貓、吞下了奶牛去捉小狗、吞下了馬去捉奶牛。那結(jié)果呢？當(dāng)然是她被撐死啦。

每吞進(jìn)一只動(dòng)物，作者都會(huì)采用There was an old ladywho swallowed……的重復(fù)句式來表達(dá)，而且在講下一個(gè)要吞下哪個(gè)動(dòng)物時(shí)，作者會(huì)在前面用圖畫的方式來暗示。

最后三句肯定是：

She swaIlowed the…to catch the…

I dOn。t know why she swaIlowed the flv.

Perhaps she。ll die.

Meow （喵） . She gulped it out of the sky （她毫無預(yù)料的吞下了蒼蠅）

Woof （汪） . Oh， My！

There was an old lady who swallowed a spider （蜘蛛）.

That wiggled （扭動(dòng)著的） and jiggled （移動(dòng)的）and tickled （使人發(fā)癢的） inside her.

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

I don't know why she swallowed the fly.

Perhaps she'll die.

Woof. Gone to the by and by （馬上就要離開了）.

Meow. Sigh （嘆氣） .

There was an old lady who swallowed a bird.

How absurd （荒唐） ！ She swallowed a bird.

She swallowed the bird to catch the spider.

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

I don't know why she swallowed the fly.

Perhaps she'll die. Moo.

She'll leave us high. Woof. And dry.

There was an old lady who swallowed a cat.

Imagine that （難以想象） ]

She swallowed a cat.

She swallowed the cat to catch the bird.

She swallowed the bird to catch the spider.

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

Woof. I hope it's a lie （謊言） .

There was an old lady who swallowed a dog.

She went whole （徹底地） hog to swallow the dog.

She swallowed the dog to catch the cat.

She swallowed the cat to catch the bird.

She swallowed the bird to catch the spider.

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

I don't know why she swallowed the fly.

Perhaps she'll die.

Moo. There's a tear （眼淚） in my eye.

There was an old lady who swallowed a cow.

I don't know how she swallowed the cow.

She swallowed the cow to catch the dog.

She swallowed the dog to catch the cat.

She swallowed the cat to catch the bird.

She swallowed the bird to catch the spider.

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

I'd rather（寧愿 ） have ham on rye（黑麥火腿面包） .Meow.

And she had a frog （青蛙 ） on the sly （偷偷地） . Neigh.

And she did it on one try.

There was an old lady who swallowed a horse.

She died， of course！

I am filled with remorse （深感內(nèi)疚） .

It was the last course （最后一道菜） .

It is such a loss （損失） .She had no time to floss （牙線） .She missed out on the sauce （醬汁） .What's left to say （還有什么沒說的） ...We'll miss her dearly.Even the artist （畫家） is crying...

這是一個(gè)熱鬧的故事，老婆婆在不小心吞進(jìn)了一只小蒼蠅后，為了抓住它，就越吃越多，所吞的動(dòng)物體型也越吃越大，故事仿佛變成了一條食物鏈。該故事的結(jié)構(gòu)循環(huán)往復(fù)，情節(jié)簡(jiǎn)單卻不失趣味，語言也極富韻律美，讓人讀著朗朗上口。希望同學(xué)們?cè)谙硎芄适聨淼臉啡さ耐瑫r(shí)，也能讓自己的表達(dá)能力、復(fù)述能力有所提升。
