近日，飽含中國元素的皮克斯動畫工作室的短片《包寶寶》（Bao）獲得2019年奧斯卡最佳動畫短片獎，也讓中國式親情獲得全球關注。

Bao revolves around an ageing Chinese mother who suffers from “empty nest syndrome” who gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings springs to life à la Pinocchio.

《包寶寶》的故事圍繞一位患上空巢綜合征的中國中年母親展開，當她做的一個包子像匹諾曹一樣有了生命時，她又有了做母親的機會。

But as cute dumpling boy quickly morphs into an angst-filled teenager and eventually a grown-up， the mother has to come to terms with the fact that her child will not stay cute and by herside forever.

然而，隨著可愛的包子男孩迅速成長為一個焦躁的青少年，并最終長大成人，母親不得不接受這樣一個事實：她的孩子不會永遠可愛，也不會永遠呆在她身邊。

以“愛、家庭與美食”為主題的中國式親情故事，伴著中國風的配樂勾起了無數(shù)觀眾的童年記憶和對深沉母愛的強大共鳴。

導演石之予（Domee Shi）是皮克斯動畫短片制作行業(yè)的首位華人女導演。她祖籍四川綿陽，在多倫多長大。畢業(yè)后，她以實習生的身份進入迪士尼皮克斯電影公司，并根據(jù)自己作為華人移民的經歷，設計制作了《包寶寶》。石之予在接受采訪時說：

"Food is how your parents show that they love you.They say it through fussing over you but also cooking for you， making sure you're always well-fed. So what better way to tell this story of a Chinese family than making food as a center focus？"

食物是父母表達愛意的方式，他們的愛都是通過噓寒問暖、為你做飯、讓你吃得飽飽的表現(xiàn)出來的。所以當我們想講一個中國家庭的故事時，還有什么比把飲食放在故事中心更恰當?shù)哪兀?/p>
