項(xiàng)目公共區(qū)的中心是一個(gè)小廣場(chǎng),將行人從圖拉克火車站引入其中,提供了一個(gè)清晰的公共空間,體現(xiàn)Beatty大道的公共特征。廣場(chǎng)的高度和行人越過(guò)車站到Beatty大道的標(biāo)高一致。這種設(shè)計(jì)保證了地塊和周圍社區(qū)以及公共交通點(diǎn)之間的視覺(jué)聯(lián)通。

On a prominent site in Armadale, Toorak Park is a large scale residential development set over 2.5 hectares.Located between Toorak Station and Orrong Road, the site offered several opportunities to strengthen links through the area. The expanse of the land on Orrong Road and the Beatty Avenue neighbourhood presented a unique opportunity to contribute to the public domain and produce a dynamic community.Existing parks and sporting grounds were also intrinsic to the design.
The site is broken down into three precincts consisting of 16 simple and elegant buildings to create an urban village. 450 one, two and three bedroom apartments, along with 18 four bedroom townhouses make up the development with building heights ranging from four, through eight to 12-storeys.
The architecture is defined by the massing of buildings, with taller square blocks linked by infill connecting wings. Orientation of buildings was carefully considered to provide both visual interest and to mitigate direct overlooking into adjoining buildings.
A public plaza, the civic heart of the project, draws pedestrian movement through the site from Toorak Station. It provides a clear public space which mirrors the public character of Beatty Avenue. The height of the plaza is set at the same level as the pedestrian overpass to the station and Beatty Avenue.This ensures the connection between the site and the adjacent existing neighbourhood and public transport is clearly legible.
The overall result is high quality residential apartment living in Armadale.
