Approved by China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Shanghai Municipal Government, the 23rdChina Beauty Expo (hereinafter referred to as CBE 2018) was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center during 22 to 24 May, 2018.It was organized by Specialized Sub-council of Light Industry (CCPIT), CCOIC-LICC, Informa Exhibitions and Shanghai Baiwen Exhibitions Co., Ltd., which attracted nearly 3,500 companies from 18 countries to exhibit products covering 60 sub-categories, and over 450,000 visitors from 80 countries and regions to attend the event. In the same period, over 60 professional forums were hosted grandly, and 16 exhibitions would be held throughout this year in the whole world.

The exhibition area of the 23rdChina Beauty Expo reached about 260,000 square meters, including 17 exhibition halls, 2 theme pavilions and 60 outdoor exhibition halls. Three kinds of activities were carried out significantly, containing Cosmetics Section, Cosmetech Section and Professional Beauty Section. One of the key events of Cosmetics Section was Opening Ceremony of CBE 2018 and Ceremony of Japan Country of Honor. It was supported by Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai,the Shanghai Office of Japan External Trade Organization(JETRO), and Japan National Tourism Organization(JNTO). Government authorities, Embassies, local and international trade associate, media, and business leaders gathered together to witness the opening ceremony of the 23rdChina Beauty Expo. The Initiation Ceremony for Japan as the country of honor was the start of three-day activities,which showcased cosmetics development trends on the basis of friendly exchange between China and Japan.

Another key event of Cosmetics Section was JALA 2018 MEIYI Award Eve. As the most prestigious and influential awards in the Chinese cosmetics industry,MEIYI Award, based on technology, innovation and fashion, aimed to make every possible effort to help brands to enhance their reputation in China and Asia and explore distribution channels in different regions in China and Asia. The activity process of MEIYI Award mainly divided into three branches including MEIYI Top, MEIYI Fashion and MEIYI Technology Awards. CBE 2018 witnessed the 10thMEIYI Award, the most featured event of the 23rdChina Beauty Expo which was organized by China Beauty Expo in coordination with C2CC Media, Cosmetic News.G.Taobao.com, Tencent, Cosmopolitan, Pretty Women,Moko, Meiyou App all together would select the most welcomed products and promote the brands among the mass market. Voted by mainstream media, beauty experts,key opinion leaders and beauty boutique stores, they picked the most desired products among consumers from 9 categories and 24 niche sectors as follows, which were conferred with MEIYI Top Best Award:
