On 8 May , 2018, the kick-off meeting for China’s Laundry Pods Industry Standard was held in Guangzhou, and the new China’s Laundry Pods Industry Standard launched, a new standard to quantify and certify the contributions of development interventions toward the laundry pods industry. It is the first standard for laundry pods in China. The theme of the meeting was “New era,New standard – Cohesive Good Life”.

The laundry pods standard was jointly drafted and prepared by Department of Consumer Goods Industry, the China National Standardization Committee of Surfactant and Detergent, the China National Cleaning Products Quality Supervision and Testing Center (Taiyuan), the China Cleaning Industry Association (CCIA), the China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry (RIDCI), Lonkey Industrial Co., Ltd., and Procter & Gamble Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd..

The standard standardizes the terms and definitions, technical requirements,test methods, inspection procedures and marking, packaging, transportation,and storage of “l(fā)aundry pods”, to guide to the market of laundry pods, and promote the healthy development of the industry.
