Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Opens

悉尼達令港索菲特酒店共設(shè)590間時尚客房，包括35間奢華套房。酒店由來自Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp設(shè)計事務(wù)所的悉尼知名建筑師Richard Francis-Jones擔(dān)綱設(shè)計。酒店壯觀的35層玻璃外墻，配有象征風(fēng)帆的三角形裝飾細(xì)節(jié)，搭配引人注目的赭紅色和藍(lán)色，以此致敬生活在達令港周圍的土著民族Eora。6000盞LED燈光的巧妙外部照明設(shè)計令悉尼達令港的夜景愈加璀璨。酒店公共區(qū)域和客房的設(shè)計致敬當(dāng)?shù)氐暮胶：凸I(yè)歷史，通過大量使用木材，并且在地毯上運用繩子和砂巖圖案來象征悉尼豐富的碼頭文化。

The Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour has opened， marking the first new-build 5-star hotel in the city in more than 15 years. This $500M new hotel heralds the renaissance of hotel development in Sydney， with over 40 hotels scheduled to open in the next five years.

Designed by renowned Sydney architect Richard Francis-Jones from Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp architects， the hotel has 590 stylish guestrooms including 35 coveted suites. On arrival， guests will be greeted by the hotel's imposing 35-storey glass exterior featuring triangular accents representing sails and a striking red ochre and blue exterior colour palette which pays tribute to the indigenous clans of the Eora nation who lived around. The spectacular external lighting by 6000 LED lights will enhance Darling Harbour at night with stunning light displays. The hotel's public spaces and guestrooms continue to pay tribute to the maritime location and the industries that formerly occupied the site including extensive use of timber representing Sydney's strong wharf heritage through to the rope and sandstone motifs in the carpets.
