這是上海世博會(huì)博物館新館在概念構(gòu)思階段的一張草圖。當(dāng)時(shí)我們的概念是“歷史的瞬間”，一方面強(qiáng)調(diào)它的歷史性，它是世博會(huì)100多年綿延歷史的記憶；一方面強(qiáng)調(diào)它的瞬間性，每一屆世博會(huì)都是短暫的幾個(gè)月，就如綻放的煙火轉(zhuǎn)瞬即逝，而它所要記錄的正是這一個(gè)個(gè)瞬間。怎樣用建筑的語言具象化地表達(dá)這兩方面的主題是當(dāng)時(shí)困擾我們的一個(gè)難題，后來想到河谷和云這兩個(gè)元素，以河谷表達(dá)歷史，表達(dá)沉積的厚重；以云表達(dá)瞬間，表達(dá)未來的變化，有了思考也就有了這張草圖，在河谷中升起一朵云的博物館。這張圖陪伴和指引了我們4年的工作，到2017年草圖上的構(gòu)想終于建成，我們心中的夢想也終于成真?！?/p>

This is a concept sketch of the New Shanghai World Expo Museum. At that time, our concept is "the moment of history". On the one hand, we want to emphasise its historical nature since it represents the history of the Expo over 100 years; on the other, we try to emphasise its instant value since every Expo lasts just a few months, like ephemeral fireworks. And what the new museum architecture aims to achieve is to record these moments. How to use architectural language to express the two aspects is the major consideration. Later, we think of two elements – the river valley and the cloud – to represent the long history and the rapid changing future respectively. As a result, the sketch of the museum – a piece of cloud rising from the river valley – came into being. This sketch serves as a guidance for the following four years of work. This year, the idea on the sketch is fnally realised, and our dream has fnally come true. □ (Translated by QI Yiyi)
