The weather is lovely where I live and so many gorgeous flowers have sprung out everywhere. I hope everyone had a lovely spring season.

I always look forward to the New Year and the enormous promise it holds. As 2017 begins, it’s an opportunity to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and outline our priorities for the next 12 months. I also want to share with you a look back at 2016 and a glimpse of the future for CDC.

2016 is the year that CDC’s first year of publication. I’m very proud of all we achieved in 2016, and it is our exceptional people and unique culture that make it all possible.

CDC, the only English-language edition journal of daily chemical industry in China，after one full year of publishing, has a circulation of 10,000 printed copies and 40,000 digital copies.

In April 2016, we celebrated CDC launching ceremony. CDC breaks the barrier of language in scientific exchange and attracts more attention to the daily chemical industry in China.

In 2016, CDC has assembled a world-class panel of experts to serve on its editorial board; we are extremely grateful for the support given by them.

The paper journal remains popular among readers, and it will remain the core output. In 2017, CDC will continue to publish high quality daily chemical research.

Lastly I should thank all our submitting authors, who have toiled in the production of their work, and have chosen CDC as the journal they would like to publish in.

We love this industry and I hope it shows on the pages of our magazine, and on our Website. Have a great 2017.
