新余文化中心由廣電中心大樓、圖書館和報(bào)業(yè)大廈組成。3個(gè)不同功能、體量、高度的建筑高低起伏，連綿不斷，斜坡退臺(tái)式的屋頂花園，將建筑由室內(nèi)向室外延伸，形成一個(gè)室內(nèi)外交融的交往場所。在空間營造的過程中，盡量呈現(xiàn)更多的公共性，特別是圖書館的空間組合，由室內(nèi)到室外，從地面到屋面，使其成為城市的公共客廳，激發(fā)城市活力，在將來的城市事件和活動(dòng)中形成城市的公共生活場景。同時(shí)，建筑形體及材料設(shè)計(jì)，根據(jù)當(dāng)?shù)氐臍夂驐l件，選用當(dāng)?shù)厣a(chǎn)的1880塊光伏組件的太陽能光伏板，形成太陽能建筑一體化的應(yīng)用，詩意地構(gòu)建了城市功能和城市生活場景。

The Cultural Centre consists of three parts: a media centre, a library and a newspaper building.These three buildings of di ff erent functions, volumes, and heights, are integral and continuous. The sloping roof garden extends the space inside out, which forms a communication place. The design process aims to show as much public space as possible; especially the library, which, from the ground to the roof, makes the open space a vital city living-room and formats a city's public life scene in the future city dynamics. Moreover, the shape and materials are adapted to the local climate conditions – 1880 locally produced PV modules of solar photovoltaic panels are used to as an integrative application of solar energy in building. It is poetic construction of city function and urban life scenes.
