Ma Zhihui was fond of calligraphy since an early age and devoted himself to practicing traditional calligraphy models. He has participated in various exhibitions and won grand prizes. Now he is a member both of World Federation of Overseas Chinese Artists and China Cross-strait Artists Association etc.

馬輝志，甘肅靖遠人，大學(xué)文化。受過窮，吃過苦，當(dāng)過兵，打過仗，從小酷愛書法，潛心自學(xué)，以傳統(tǒng)法帖為老師，讀其神，練其形，悟其魂，取法魏晉之正脈，唐宋之風(fēng)尚，尤以小楷為上乘。作品先后獲文化系統(tǒng)書法一等獎、陜西省紀念建黨90周年書法攝影二等獎、關(guān)天經(jīng)濟區(qū)、秦晉豫三省四地等書法展覽。2011年被評為渭南文化名人，2013年榮獲全國紀念毛澤東誕辰120周年書畫大賽金獎，2014年榮獲“中國夢”全國詩詞書畫攝影作品大賽活動金獎，并被文化部文化藝術(shù)中心聘為文化藝術(shù)“名譽顧問”。現(xiàn)為世界華人華僑藝術(shù)家聯(lián)合會會員，中國海峽兩岸書畫家協(xié)會員等，中國書法家協(xié)會理事。
