On August 11th and 12th, 2016, China Southern Airlines held its 3rd open day, inviting the media to visit its largest Asian simulated fl ight training base, Zhuhai Xiang Yi Aviation Technology Company Limited, and its subsidiaries including MTU Maintenance Zhuhai and Zhuhai Helicopter Company. On the open day, members of the media got the chance to learn about the core sessions of the aviation industry—mysterious pilot training and engine maintenance.

8月11日至12日，南航再次舉行公眾開放日，向媒體首度開放了南航位于珠海的亞洲最大的模擬飛行訓(xùn)練基地——珠海翔翼，以及珠海摩天宇、珠海直升機(jī)分公司，深入介紹了最具神秘感的飛行員培訓(xùn)、發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)維修等航空業(yè)最核心技術(shù)環(huán)節(jié)。這是南航在2016年舉辦的第三次開放日，進(jìn)一步密切航空公司與社會(huì)公眾之間的關(guān)系。

Visiting Zhuhai Xiang Yi Aviation Technology Company Limited, two rows of fl ight simulators will jump into your sight when you walk into the training center. These simulators allow trainees to feel acceleration from different directions whilst in the simulator. Among them, a more than ten-milliondollar-valued Boeing 787 full fl ight simulator can offer you 'almost-the-same' experience as fl ying the actual aircraft—the layout of cockpit, the fl ight controls, even the view out of the window are the same.

As the training base of China Southern Airlines, Zhuhai Xiang Yi Aviation Technology Company Limited has received and trained all of China Southern's newly recruited pilot cadets who are required to receive an examination certifi cate afte r completing the center's fl ight training courses. In 2015, the training center witnessed 18 thousand trai nees conducting 130,000 simulator fl ight hours.

“Pilot training is really a foundation project,” said one staff from the training session. “We ensure every trainee from this Zhuhai facility is fully qualifi ed as a pilot.”

One journalist attendee said, “We learnt more about the state-of-the-art technologies, rigorous training, and careful maintenance behind the aviation industry via these varied activities during the open day.”

The 3rd open day of China Southern Airlines has successfully established closer connections between the civil aviation industry and the public.

Pass the final job evaluation and become a qualified pilot of the fleet.
