3D RIDER

APWorks, a subsidiary of Airbus, has created the world's fi rst 3D-printed motorcycle that weighs just 35 kilograms. With a 6kw electric engine, the Light Rider goes from zero to 50 mph in just seconds and features a frame boasting a mere 6kg.

3D-printing technologies have revolutionized the design and manufacturing process not only in terms of structure and aesthetics, but also in sign ifi cant weight savings on parts and equipment when compared to those made using conventional manufacturing techniques.

世界首款3D打印摩托車不久前在德國(guó)奧托布倫亮相，它的重量?jī)H為35公斤，是由金屬粉末材料通過激光融合技術(shù)制造完成。摩托車的時(shí)速可在幾秒鐘內(nèi)從0迅速升至80公里/小時(shí)，據(jù)了解，這款3D打印摩托車是由空客公司的子公司APWorks構(gòu)思、設(shè)計(jì)、制作完成。

TIME-SAVING ELECTRONIC TAG

Just imagine how convenient it will be to go through all the procedures at home before heading to the airport. Air passengers with RIMOWA Electronic Tags can simply check in from home or while on the road using the airline app – and check in their luggage, too. In addition to a digital boarding pass, passengers will receive digital luggage information from the airline for their booked fl ight. Just with one click the luggage information is then sent via Bluetooth from the smartphone to the suitcase equipped with a RIMOWA Electronic Tag. The details are immediately displayed on the built-in data module. The RIMOWA suitcase can then be dropped off within seconds at the airport.

AZURE PLANET

On June 8th, the event of World Oceans Day and National Oceans Day of 2016 was held in Beihai, Guangxi. The topic this year features on “paying attention to the health of oceans and protecting our azure planet”. It expects that by various advertising activities the social cognition of constructing a strong oceanic country and Maritime Silk Road of the 21st century can be strongly cohered. For days, Beihai has held diverse events for Oceans Day, including an exhibition of pictures, lectures on oceanic economy, documentaries about oceans, public ocean cleaning and so on. The main venue of Oceans Days is located in Beihai. As an important city along the Beibu Gulf, Beihai was honoured as a Nationally designated Eco-Demonstration Region for Marine Civilisation last year, of which the gross ocean production added up to RMB 415 billion.
