Mandarin Oriental, Washington, D.C., recently unveiled a renovation of its guestrooms. Led by Kent Interior Design, Inc., the redesign inspired by the hotel's waterfront location and nearby national monuments.
The new color palette includes shades of celadon and robin's egg blue that play off earth tones and the rich dark wood furnishings. Rooms also feature wall coverings, an upholstered headboard and media wall, as well as lush carpets and drapery. The spa-inspired marble bathrooms have also been refreshed with textiles, vanity finishes, jetted showerheads, separate soaking tubs, and large dimmable LED lighted mirrors. The hotel's Asian heritage is also reflected throughout.
