Once there were two beautiful flowers， Judy and Ruby.

They had bright yellow petals（1）.

They lived happily together on a hill.

The sun had been shining（2） for many days.

And the flowers were thirsty（3）.

“I’m so thirsty！” said Judy Flower.

“I’m thirsty too. Where is Uncle Rain？” said Ruby Flower.

Just then， a little ant came by（4）.

“Let’s ask Mr. Ant for help，” said Judy Flower.

“Mr. Ant， we’re very thirsty. Can you help us find Uncle Rain？” said Judy Flower and Ruby Flower.

“Oh， I’m too small. I can’t find him on my own（5）. Let me ask Miss Dragonfly for help，” said the little ant.

Then the little ant crawled（6） over the hill.

He found the dragonfly near a pond（7）.

“Hello， Miss Dragonfly， Judy Flower and Ruby Flower are thirsty. Can you help me f ind Uncle Rain？” said the little ant.

“Oh， I can’t find him on my own. Let me ask Mr. Owl（8） for help. He knows many things，” said the dragonfly.

So the dragonfly carried（9） the little ant on her head.

They flew through（10） the forest to an old tree.

In the tree they found the wise（11） owl.

“Hello， Mr. Owl， Judy Flower and Ruby Flower are very thirsty. Please help us find Uncle Rain，” said the dragonfly.

“Oh， Uncle Rain is sleeping，” said the wise owl.

“Well， we must wake him up，” said the little ant.

“Let’s go！” said the wise owl.

“Here is Uncle Rain！” said the wise owl.

Then the little ant， the dragonfly and the wise owl yelled（12） together：

“Wake up！ Uncle Rain， wake up！”

Uncle Rain woke up from his long sleep.

“Oh， I must have slept late（13）. You need（14） rain， don’t you？” said Uncle Rain.

“Yes， we need rain，” the little ant， the dragonfly and the wise owl said together.

The rain came down from the sky—f irst a little... then more... and more... and more.

“Thank you！ Thank you！” said Judy Flower and Ruby Flower.

Happy， they all danced in the rain.

And all the friends were happy to see the flowers bright（15） and beautiful again.
