2015年7月，萬豪國際集團(tuán)宣布進(jìn)入臺(tái)灣的第一家酒店——臺(tái)北萬豪酒店盛大開業(yè)。結(jié)合萬豪酒店品牌的特色設(shè)計(jì)以及臺(tái)灣當(dāng)?shù)厥⑶榭畲奈幕刭|(zhì)，臺(tái)北萬豪酒店成為臺(tái)北市大直區(qū)新商圈的第一間國際五星級飯店，亦是臺(tái)北最大的綜合性地標(biāo)建筑。

酒店擁有320間配置齊全的豪華客房與套房、5家獨(dú)特的餐廳、1座先進(jìn)的水療中心和1個(gè)現(xiàn)代化的會(huì)議中心。其中最引人矚目的是遍布酒店四周青枝綠蔓、濃蔭滴翠的綠化景觀，這也恰恰符合萬豪酒店品牌推崇“綠色酒店開發(fā)”的精神。來到臺(tái)北萬豪酒店，賓客仿佛身處植物園之中，每個(gè)轉(zhuǎn)角都可見本地灌木和花卉構(gòu)成的動(dòng)人景色，其間還點(diǎn)綴著別致的藝術(shù)作品和休息區(qū)。景觀中的核心元素是一個(gè)名為“蝴蝶”的鋁制雕塑，由西班牙藝術(shù)家Manolo Valdes創(chuàng)作，靈感來自酒店附近劍南山上的蝴蝶保護(hù)區(qū)，是對自然和藝術(shù)的一份禮贊。

Inspired by the nearby butterfly biosphere reserve on Mt. Jiannan， an aluminium sculpture named \"Butterflies\" and created by Spanish artist Manolo Valdes， sits in the center of the landscape to serve as a tribute to nature and the arts.
