首次造訪連接歐亞大陸的伊斯坦布爾，赤日炎炎，讓我這個倫敦客頗覺驚喜。一路驅(qū)車，出租司機(jī)豐富的手勢夾雜著蹩腳的英文無不昭示，這是一座琢磨不透的城市。的確，土耳其的歷史一本書都講不完；而伊斯坦布爾的韻味，若不是常駐此地，則根本不能參透：無所事事的年輕男子，灑脫開放的伊斯蘭女性，吵吵鬧鬧的廣場政治，還有被現(xiàn)代與傳統(tǒng)撕裂的社會文化，讓身處于伊斯坦布爾的外鄉(xiāng)人絲毫摸不著頭腦。

When I frst come to the connecting place of Europe and Asia， Istanbul， its cool summer day has brought a smile to my Londoner’ s face. During my trip， I hear taxi drivers’ broken English mixed with rich body language and see seemingly idle young man， free and easy open Islamic women and the noisy plaza politics. Te society is split between modernity and tradition， all these， even the locals cannot make sense of.

\"For St. Regis hotel， it is quite important to be stationed in this city，\" said the marketing manager Selim Olmez， who， though a local， has worked abroad for the past 12 years in Abu Dhabiand St. Petersburg. Now Selim is home.

當(dāng)出租車進(jìn)入瑞吉所在地Nisantasi區(qū)時，周遭的繁華與時尚確實(shí)與紐約異曲同工。這里有紐約和倫敦的奢侈品牌，也有服務(wù)最好的精品餐館，當(dāng)然還有一股張狂的勁兒，在這座古老的城市暗流涌動。

When the taxi enters Nisantasi District， which houses the St. Regis， the bustle and fashion around are indeed similar to New York. There are not only luxury brands from New York and London， but also boutique restaurants with the best service， and of course there is also an insolent energy simmering in this ancient city.

摧奧美茲介紹，伊斯坦布爾瑞吉酒店共有120間客房，今年3月開業(yè)，因此一切都是欣欣然的樣子。開業(yè)之初，酒店每天晚上為住客準(zhǔn)備“瑞吉傍晚儀式，”邀請賓客在Petitt\"O\"酒吧體驗土耳其紅酒和知名的Misty Mary雞尾酒。

我住在標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的豪華套房，面朝麥卡公園，空間闊達(dá)，暗藏驚喜：象征古代奧斯曼帝國的掛件收藏，墻上懸掛的大幅抽象畫之作。這些藝術(shù)品都來自酒店擁有者薩班其家族的收藏品。這是土耳其最古老的富人家族，近年來以收藏藝術(shù)品聞名遐邇。

酒店三樓還有都市套房，同樣面朝麥卡公園。在此，住客仿佛與紐約中央公園咫尺之間兩相視。事實(shí)上，當(dāng)?shù)厝舜_實(shí)將麥卡公園稱為伊斯坦布爾的紐約中央公園。

\"For me， Istanbul is so special， and especially the unique St. Regis.\" Olmez explained， \"Te hotel location is similar to the Fifh Avenue in New York， more precisely， No. 55 on New York’s Fifh Avenue.\"

For foreigners， this analogy gave away a \"secret.\" When the taxi enters Nisantasi District， which houses the St. Regis， the bustle and fashion around are indeed similar to New York. Opening in March this year， St. Regis Istanbul and its120 rooms all look fresh. In the beginning of the opening， the hotel prepared \"Te St. Regis Evening Ritual\" every night for the hotel guests and invited them to enjoy Turkish wines and the famous Misty Mary cocktail in Petit \"O\"Bar.

I live in the standard luxury suites， facing McCarty Park. Tere are surprises hiding in the wide space， such as the symbol of the ancient Otoman pendant and a huge abstract painting hanging on the wall. Tese works of art belong to the hotel owner， Sabancifamily. Tis is Turkey’s oldest wealthy family that has become famous for their art collection in recent years.

Te St. Regis Istanbul features an exquisitely designed Bentley Suite， second in the world only to the Bentley Suite at the brand’ s fagship hotel in New York. Providing guests with the luxury， crafsmanship and style associated with both renowned international brands， the suite draws inspiration from the Bentley Continental GT modeland features hand-crafed fnishes and one-of-a-kind furnishings throughout.

Te Cosmopolitan Suites on the third foor also faces McCarthy Park， which is called the New York’s Central Park by the hotel guests. In fact， the locals indeed call Istanbul McCarty Park the New York Central Park.

Te open-air bar is an extension of the Michelin two-star restaurant Spago， a restaurant managed by world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck， and also Puck’ s frst store outside the United States. American-styled， understated and excellent， it is incomparable. On the ground foor there is a more popular restaurant： St Regis Brasserie with atractive interior and exterior decorations. Once entering the door， bright lights shine on the wine collection， while polite and gentle waiters patiently introduce and recommend Turkish-French fusion delicacies.
