However， it soon became known as the Uniform Project when she exceeded her goal of $100，000 and then opened it up to other women who wanted to join her. Joining is simple. In the process she raised funds. According to The Times， people could come out and watch. All proceeds2） were to be donated to the Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance Service.

When the big day came， she had far exceeded her initial goals and her stunt driving skills turned out to be quite impressive for a librarian. Not only did it smash the stereotype but it also raised money for the ambulance service. He offered to shave off his mustache， put it back together， mount4） it， and present it to the winning bidder. The proceeds would then go entirely to the charity Because of Ezra.com.

The sale itself was private. However， the mustache was successfully removed， reassembled， glued， and then mounted behind glass. To ensure that it had the proper shape， the mustache was reassembled against a mold of Nick Offerman's face.

However， Larry Ekstrom decided that the best way to celebrate his 70th birthday and raise money for Leader Dogs for the Blind was to sky dive 70 times on his birthday. On his 60th birthday， he jumped 60 times to raise money for multiple sclerosis6） research as his wife suffers from it.

He succeeded in raising a significant amount of money， although he did not say how much.
