Chen Hui has devoted himself to the research both of Chinese traditional paintings and western oil paintings for a long period. He integrated the orient humanistic spirits and western painting techniques， creating typical oil paintings with distinctive Chinese features and building up a bridge connecting oriental and occidental drawings.

中國(guó)水墨畫(huà)與西方油畫(huà)有很大不同，排除繪畫(huà)媒介上的巨大差異，對(duì)“水性”的理解與運(yùn)用，是造成東西方繪畫(huà)表現(xiàn)上差別的關(guān)鍵因素。

藝術(shù)家塵灰以“油”為”水”，構(gòu)筑了一條東西方繪畫(huà)互通的道路。結(jié)合中國(guó)的儒、釋、道思想與精神、個(gè)人才情以及長(zhǎng)久于東西方繪畫(huà)探索與研究的積淀。塵灰用油畫(huà)材質(zhì)淋漓盡致地來(lái)呈現(xiàn)水墨精神、以極其自然的方式把東方人文精神帶入油畫(huà)的創(chuàng)作，完成了一批獨(dú)特的“意象”、“印象”和“抽象”繪畫(huà)作品，形成了獨(dú)具個(gè)人特色的世界性繪畫(huà)語(yǔ)言。以油為水、以色為墨、以布為紙，以東方人文精神為核心，不拘于傳統(tǒng)中國(guó)畫(huà)的樣式格局，結(jié)合國(guó)際藝術(shù)視野，塵灰創(chuàng)作出了真正意義上的“中國(guó)畫(huà)”，引領(lǐng)了繪畫(huà)探索與研究的新方向，為東西方繪畫(huà)元素有機(jī)地結(jié)合做作出了極其重要的探索與實(shí)踐。

Chen Hui was born in Shangrao city， Jiangxi Province in 1970 and graduated from Jimei University in 1992. Then he took advance study in Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2012. Now he is an international resident artist of Berlin and working in Beijing.

塵灰，原名陳暉，1970年出生于江西上饒。1992年集美大學(xué)本科畢業(yè)，2012年中央美術(shù)學(xué)院研修，2013年中國(guó)石齊藝術(shù)研究會(huì)《新中國(guó)畫(huà)》研究專(zhuān)員，2014年德國(guó)柏林國(guó)際駐留藝術(shù)家，現(xiàn)工作生活于北京，自由藝術(shù)家。

2014年舉辦個(gè)展《時(shí)間軸·Timeline》。
