Yao Tieli was born in 1964. He studied calligraphy at Jilin University and received his master degree. He was instructed by famous calligrapher and theorist Cong Wenjun. Currently he is a member of China Calligraphers Association and a professor of Beijing Union University. He has participated in various exhibitions and won lots of prizes. Many periodicals and newspapers have carried his artworks. In 2011， he published his solo calligraphy collection.

姚鐵力，1964年生人。吉林大學(xué)書法碩士，師從于我國著名書法理論家和書法家叢文俊博士?，F(xiàn)為中國書法家協(xié)會會員，北京聯(lián)合大學(xué)教授。姚鐵力7歲隨父親姚俊卿（著名書法家）學(xué)習(xí)書法。作品多次入選中國書協(xié)舉辦的各項(xiàng)展覽。1992年榮獲首屆“天馬杯”國際書畫藝術(shù)大賽銀獎；1993年作品獲首屆全國“明星杯”書畫藝術(shù)大獎賽金獎；作品被毛主席紀(jì)念堂收藏；1996年作品榮獲“和平與友誼”國際書畫藝術(shù)大賽銅獎；1998年論文獲中國書協(xié)主辦的“全國隸書作品研討會”銀獎；2001年作品榮獲中國教育學(xué)會舉辦的“世紀(jì)龍年全國書畫藝術(shù)作品大獎賽”金獎。同年參加由文化部組織的赴意大利進(jìn)行國際文化藝術(shù)交流活動，并做四次書法講座；2006年在韓國獨(dú)立紀(jì)念館舉辦“姚鐵力教授書法展覽會”；同年6月17日《國際日報》刊登作品和采訪；同年作品獲第二屆全國榜書書法藝術(shù)展銅獎。2011年由西泠印社出版社出版《姚鐵力書法》作品集。2013年《人民藝術(shù)家》專版刊登其作品與論文。
