The Best Day of My Summer Vacation

I planned to go somewhere with my parents when the summer vacation began， and finally we decided to go to a famous island in my hometown in a cool Friday by ship. We all looked forward to going there.

On that day the weather is not very hot and the wind is mild. My parents and I appreciated the beautiful seaside scenery while we walked to the pier. Our laugh made this family day very enjoyable.

When we arrived at the pier， unfortunately， the ticket seller told us that the tickets had all been sold out. I felt a little bit disappointed， but my mother said it didnt matter and suggested that we can walk on the beach near the pier. I agreed and considered it may be funnier.

We three sit on the attractive beach， let our bodies relaxed totally and enjoyed the smell of the sea. I talked with my parents about my university life and they showed much interest in it. We talked for such a long time that we almost forgot to go home.

Although we didnt reach our destination， we didnt mind. We all considered that day the best day of my summer vacation because it was a wonderful family day.

一到寒暑假，國內(nèi)就會有許多學生因為要上各類補習班而患上“恐假癥”。相比之下，國外的中小學生就幸福很多，且看——

美國：廣闊天地顯身手

美國的學生沒有假期作業(yè)，但是他們都注重閱讀。每天保證一定時間讀書是他們的習慣。對于低年級的學生，學校還特別舉辦有獎讀書活動。假期初始，孩子們領一張“讀書計時表”，要求每天讀書半個小時，或者聽大人讀書半個小時。到開學的時候，孩子們的計時表填滿了，這時就可以領到一份可愛的獎品。

由于假期沒有課業(yè)任務，學生可以有大量的時間參加文體活動，發(fā)展個人的興趣愛好。棋牌、音樂、表演、廚藝、雕塑等應有盡有，五花八門。

而美國的中學生，特別是高中生，假期里比較獨立。他們在假期里大都參加工作，有做義工的，有做小時工的，也有做實習生的。除了自己賺到一些零花錢外，更重要的是他們通過參與社會實踐得到了鍛煉，豐富了自己的閱歷，增長了才干，為將來步入社會積累了寶貴的經(jīng)驗。

英國：家長不強迫孩子上補習班

在英國，寒假一般包括圣誕節(jié)的1周和2月份的1周假期。這兩段時間都是英國的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日，學生的主要活動就是參加家庭聚會和外出游玩，例如2月份時很多英國家庭都出去滑雪。

英語、數(shù)學等課程類假期補習班在英國不是特別普遍，家長一般不會強迫孩子去上補習班。并且，因為請家教價格昂貴，一般的家庭也不會給孩子請家教。而富有的家庭給孩子請的家教，多是音樂、美術等藝術類課程。只有一些課業(yè)特別困難、趕不上學校進度的學生，才會在假期上補習班。

在英國，假期里還流行讓孩子們到歐洲其他國家的城市家庭互換居住，孩子們到對方的家里去住，去當?shù)芈糜?，在生活中學習當?shù)氐恼Z言和習俗。

菲律賓：打工度假是首選

從每年3月底到6月初，菲律賓學生會迎來他們的悠長假期。在所有假期活動中，打工被菲律賓學生視為最有建設性的選擇。對家境貧困的學生來說，這無疑是貼補家用的好辦法，即便是不用為下學期學費發(fā)愁的學生，也可以往口袋里添些零用錢。

臨近長假，翻開報紙就能看到不少特長和興趣培訓班的廣告。唱歌、跳舞、表演、繪畫……孩子們非常希望能夠開采自己“才能的金礦”。在菲律賓，只有兩種學生假日須留在家中：一種是年齡太小的孩子，不方便外出參加活動；另一種則是在期末考試中亮了紅燈，為了應對補考，只能在家奮發(fā)努力。

法國：增開多處“娛樂中心”

6月30日，巴黎中小學生便開始了他們的暑假生活。巴黎有260多處“娛樂中心”，專門接待放假時期白天無人照管的3至13歲的孩子，中心的費用由國家教育部和巴黎市政府共同支付。

在中心除了做游戲，孩子們還會被帶著過“自然日”（去植物園騎自行車，去郊區(qū)農(nóng)場參觀），過“文化日”（參觀博物館，看電影），過“發(fā)現(xiàn)日”（參觀科技展覽，學做中國菜）等。對年齡稍大的孩子，娛樂中心會定期組織2至5天的旅游或體育活動。

瑞士：暑假日期各州自定

中小學校自6月26日起陸續(xù)放暑假，瑞士聯(lián)邦政府對暑假的開始日期沒有統(tǒng)一規(guī)定，26個州各有決定的自主權。瑞士由各市鎮(zhèn)政府贊助，建立起各種類型的夏令營，專門接收6至12歲的兒童。每天家長把孩子送到營地，8時到17時由專人負責照看，下班后再把孩子接回家，這有效地解決了雙職工家長的后顧之憂。夏令營的費用每星期在80至100瑞郎（480元至600元人民幣）之間。

高中生的暑期生活就更為豐富多彩了。他們一般選擇出國旅游，主要是鄰近的法國、德國、奧地利、意大利或其他歐盟國家。也有的學生到英國或德國進行短期語言訓練旅行，聯(lián)系住進當?shù)氐囊粋€家庭里，與房東同吃同住，既了解了異國他鄉(xiāng)的風土人情，又得到了外語的實際操練。
