這個設(shè)計最重要的想法是:每間教室的外邊都有一個四合院,一棵大樹。小朋友在下課的時候走出教室就是自己的庭院、大樹、平臺、沙坑、穿廊。
對一個將近五十個班級的大型國小,大部份的設(shè)計策略是一棟棟長條型教室,由兩端的樓梯間連接,或成圍合式建筑體,留出大片的操場空地。小朋友在下課僅有的十分鐘里沿著長長的走廊急著跑下樓梯,沖到游戲場搶秋千或上廁所。我們要嘗試的是:教室不超過兩層樓,把集中式的大空地分散成每個班級各自擁有的,可以認(rèn)同的的小戶外空間。一樓教室的小朋友有自己班上的庭院,二樓教室的小朋友有自己班上的花園平臺,每一個四合院共同擁有一棵他們的大樹,一樓的人可以坐在樹下,二樓的人可以摸到樹葉。每個合院的樹不相同,有的是大榕樹,有的是鳳凰大或蓮霧,成為每個空間的認(rèn)同特色。
三個主要的教室區(qū)如同網(wǎng)絡(luò)般的穿插連結(jié),與??平淌液托姓菄纱笮〔煌膹V場空間與水院。小朋友由教室走到四合院的中庭,再走到外面的廣場,如同城市里由家到小廣場,再到大廣場的空間經(jīng)驗。
This project is one of a series of design researches that the architect had been working on: how to re-invent the traditional courtyard typology for contemporary urban conditions. It also aims to establish an innovative cluster-based fabric system of classrooms and hierarchy of open spaces.The design intend to create rich spatial experiences for the school like a village or a city, allow children to wonder and explore, running along alleys and streets, learning and growing up inbetween spaces of large and small.
For a school that has nearly two thousands students and 50 classes, the challenge is how to make spaces of intimate scale for kids and be able to establish identities for small groups. rather than using large scale of linear or L-shaped mid-rise blocks that conventional school design would do, this project interlocks, rotate and overlap single leveled linear module of classroom blocks,and create a series of small courtyard unit of 10 by 10 meters. In such layout every classrooms would be able to have either their own courtyard on the ground level, or have their own terrace deck on the upper level. Each class with its forty students would be able to have their own big tree and sand pit within their won courtyard cluster .Kids therefore would not always have to rush down the long hallway and several flight of stairs down to the large playground, lining up for the slide or swing during the short recess time.
