繼匯豐銀行之后，我們的設(shè)計(jì)實(shí)踐繼續(xù)在重新定義辦公大樓的特性并探索其對(duì)于所在地文脈和城市精神應(yīng)當(dāng)作出的反饋。這座坐落在港口附近的31層大廈，探索了新的具有充分靈活性、無(wú)柱的辦公室空間策略，并在悉尼高密度的中央商務(wù)區(qū)創(chuàng)造出了全新的都市空間。

這座大廈不同尋常的設(shè)計(jì)和具有強(qiáng)烈特征的輪廓線實(shí)際上是一系列因素作用的結(jié)果：狹窄的場(chǎng)地、對(duì)于大型開(kāi)放式樓層的需要，以及為保證場(chǎng)地附近兩處公共空間的日照量而設(shè)置的詳細(xì)規(guī)劃條例。建筑朝向的選擇考慮了一系列環(huán)境性的因素，并最大化地將港口的全貌納入建筑使用者的視野當(dāng)中。陽(yáng)光射入辦公樓層，并穿過(guò)貫通整座建筑的中庭到達(dá)地面層，中庭中還穿插著將辦公室與大廈的垂直交通體系連接在一起的廊橋。建筑中行動(dòng)的流線清晰而愉悅，中庭和前廳從物理上和精神上都與辦公空間分離開(kāi)來(lái)。結(jié)構(gòu)核心被設(shè)置在整個(gè)場(chǎng)地西側(cè)的低層部分，由兩座包鋁混凝土塔構(gòu)成，為整棟大廈提供最為基本的功能性元素，并起到了緩沖日曬的作用。為了能夠在布置辦公樓層平面時(shí)具有更大的靈活性，3個(gè)方向的立面上的玻璃幕墻都被內(nèi)外調(diào)轉(zhuǎn)，并采用外面的框架和橫梁來(lái)進(jìn)行固定。

整座大廈的私密空間與城市的公共空間在地面一座高度達(dá)4層的廣場(chǎng)交匯。這個(gè)高大而充滿陽(yáng)光的空間是一個(gè)繁忙的公共廣場(chǎng)。它是進(jìn)入辦公空間的序曲，同時(shí)又容納了商店、咖啡廳和一家托兒所。大廳中央的水景長(zhǎng)度可調(diào)整，以配合在此進(jìn)行的諸如時(shí)裝展示會(huì)或派對(duì)等不同種類(lèi)的活動(dòng)?！酰ɡ瞽[ 譯）

Since the design of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, the practice has continued to redefine the nature of the office tower and to explore how it can respond to the context and the spirit of the city in which it stands. This new thirty-one-storey building,located on a prominent site close to the harbour,explores new strategies for flexible, column-free office space and creates a new urban room in Sydney's dense central business district.

The building's unusual design and distinctive profile were guided by a number of factors,including the narrow site, the need for large open floor plates, and exacting planning regulations that protected the amount of sunlight falling on two nearby public spaces. The orientation of the building exploits a number of environmental factors and maximises views over the harbour.Daylight is drawn into the office levels and down through the building via an atrium, which runs the full height of the tower between the core and the office floors, and is interlaced by a series of bridges that connect the offices to the vertical circulation routes. Movement through the building is clarified and celebrated, the atrium and lobbies being both physically and psychologically removed from the workplace. The main structural core is offset to the lower, western edge of the site and consists of two aluminium-clad concrete towers, which provide the main stiffening elements and act as solar buffers.To permit greater flexibility in planning office layouts, curtain walling on the three glazed facades has been turned inside out with mullions and transoms placed externally.

At ground level, the private world of the tower meets the public realm of the city in a four-storey covered plaza－the assembly. This soaring, lightfilled space functions as a busy public square. A prelude to the office lobbies, it also contains shops,cafes and a creche. The central water feature that runs the length of the space can be controlled to enable all kinds of activities, including fashion shows and parties to take place there at any time of day.□

12 花崗巖街道裝置的室外空間，提供了非正式的會(huì)面或休息的花園以及另一個(gè)朝向菲利普大街的入口，創(chuàng)造了從另一側(cè)通往亨特大街的通道/An external space with granite stone street furniture provides an informal garden for meetings or break out area and an alternative entranceway from Philip Street, creating a public pathway through to Hunter Street at the other end of the site.
